7 days! I haven't noticed a lot of difference I have weighed myself and it fluctuates a lot.

I feel 100% better than I did before, never feel the need to eat other than meal time. I have the ketone stix and they are purple. So *yay*

Drinking 144 ounces of water a day (at least)

And I'm about to hop on my exercise bike and see how far it takes me.

Hey Stephie... Just wanted to say welcome back! Checking in here and having to "face" the group keeps me from straying too far. I'm not going to say I haven't "cheated" and started again, I have, but this group keeps me from doing it unconciously. We're all here for you!

Day 7 for me. I am down a total of 4 pounds but I still don't feel any changes in my clothing. I was able to pass up some major temptations this weekend so I am proud of that and, I STARTED EXERCISING!!!!!!

Big step for me. I haven't really exercised in many years (unless you count chasing kids around). I borrowed my mom's Pilates machine and made myself get up at 5:00 this morning and do the cardio workout. It's only 20 minutes but they say that's all you need to do. You are suppose to do the strength training too but that was all I could handle this morning. Tomorrow is a new day. I promised myself that if I continue to use it for a month, I will buy myself one. I am really hoping to see some changes in my physique because I have rolls in places that I never dreamed!!!

So on to day 8 with a positive attitude and, hopefully, a little less of me!

righto - am going to challenge myself to a mini-goal of not cheating at all through induction (ends 4th june), then a 2nd mini goal of June 21st (one month), and then my ultimate goal for now is going to be 3rd August, when my friend gets married (and I want to be near my goal anyway!)
I know myself enough to know that although I don't necessarily think that physiologically having, say, one glass of wine, or a slice of cake, or an ice-cream would make an enormous change to my waistline - I know that I would not be able to have just one treat. I get the taste and think my day is blown so go overboard and binge, then seeing as how my day is gone, why not just discount the week (especially if I drink - I get huge urges to gorge on starchy comfort foods the next day)?
I cannot afford to yo-yo anymore: it would put too much strain on my heart so, am going for gold - no cheating AT ALL for at least 10 weeks!
(I'll drop it into my siggie)

Day 9 and going strong. I did my pilates workout again this morning. I did the strength training workout and I had not realized how weak my upper body was until today! I have some major work to do. I plan to measure myself next monday (since I first measured on a monday) to see if there are any changes. The scale is still hovering in the same spot. My mini goal at this point is to get into the 150's. TOM is here so hopefully I will have a loss after it goes away (although I don't usually get the WOOSH that some people talk about).

Carbaholic - We are pretty close in starting weight and goal weight. Let's keep eachother motivated and maybe we can cross the finish line together!

Baarb - Thanks for being everyone's cheerleader! You deserve some kudos yourself!
