16 days down for me. Welcome to the challenge Lisa, you are doing wonderful. Alexa you were always my role model for this challenge, glad you are back with us too.
:slithers in as contrite as all get out!: I broke last night! Doggone PMS munchies plus stress and exhaustion from too many long days at UVA Medical Center (I have a rare disorder and they treat me like a lab rat). I didn't eat anything 'illegal,' merely, I'm sure, because there's nothing illegal in the house. My rule is nothing after dinner. I'm also not eating nuts. After dinner, I ate a lot of red bell pepper with cream cheese, about a half cup of tree nuts, a can of potted meat and ricotta and salsa...all in about an hour. Nothing I usually do to stop myself worked last night. I finally stopped about 9:30 p.m.
I did fine today, but was craving nuts and was truly hungry. I baked a fresh, minimally processed turkey breast and ate a lot of crispy skin and fat. I also had stir fried veggies with lots of EVOO & butter. Then I immediately washed dishes, put everything away, and scrubbed down the counters, sink and stove, so I wouldn't want to dirty anything back up.
The night is not over, though I have no desire to cheat, I'm not claiming a day until tomorrow. So color me day 0!
Not So Sunny!
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

Hey you didn't eat anything illegal...as long as you are past those rungs.
Women have to deal with "bein women" once a month and so that makes it extra hard to stick with this at times. Those cravings get pretty bad!
Don't be too hard on yourself Sunny....You are doing GREAT!
Thanks for the support. I'm not being too hard on myself, just staying accountable. I didn't want this to become a habit. One of the hardest things for me to do is come admit to you guys that I ate off plan, at least my current plan--even if it was all legal food.
I'm doing great now. Back in control and even more inspired to keep it that way!
Day 1, again, in the bag!

Clean and sober since May 1st, 2007....oh wait, thats another board...sorry.
LOL...just kidding
But I'm not kidding about being cheat free since May 1st, 2007.
Today my daughter tried to tempt me into going and getting a Cotton Candy Blizzard from Dairy Queen. Its my absolute favorite kind of ice cream. She isn't trying to sabotage me, I think she is testing me. The old me on a different "diet" might have given in...but I told her that I've worked too hard and come this far to cheat and have ice cream that would probably make me feel sick anyways. She totally understood and didn't end up going there and getting one herself either. I told her to please...go ahead it didn't bother me, I need to realize I live in the real world with other real people who don't chose to eat low carb...thats just a fact. I don't think she is quite used to her "new mom" yet.
Day 2 complete and successful! I had so much to do yesterday and was so tired. I had three great meals and no problem staying on track. Then, I had to stay up past midnight to finish a submission for a newsletter due today, and got sooo hungry! I didn't cave, though. I have a really bad sleep disorder, and never went to sleep at all. Further temptation when I got back up at 4:00 am, but I waited until my usual breakfast time. Yeah ME!!!!

Day 3 behind me. Going strong. Have to go to a volunteer recognition dinner tonight. Doubt there will be anything I can eat, so I'll eat before I go.
