    The meat fast is an alternative to the Fat Fast in the ANDRB; it is similar to Atkins' alternative to the fat fast which is explain on the next page. Yesterday, I had:

    Two deviled eggs, 4 slices of bacon
    Chicken Salad
    5 Buffalo Wings
    A small piece of roast beef

    80 ounces of water

      Where is everybody? What has been going on? Have you been good or bad?

      I weighed again today since I have been doing the meat/fat fast for three days...I lost two more pounds!!! Yay! I had planned to stay on the "fast" until Friday, so I am going to go ahead and go for the two more days. I am really tired because I have had so few carbs, and I have been exercising for an hour...it is worth it to see the scale move though. I hope it keeps up! I am longing for my salads and mock danishes now...so maybe it really is a good thing because it makes me really appreciate the good foods that I was allowed to eat before

      Yesterday-

      B- 5 slices of bacon
      Lunch- Roast Beef and 1 devilled egg
      Dinner- Pork Chops
      Snack- 1 Devilled Egg
      Lots of water and 1 diet rite soda

        Hi Ashley,

        Well done on the weight loss. It must be really hard to exercise when you've had no carbs - I can always feel it just from induction levels of carbs.
        I went onto OWL last week and went a little bit off plan - I was catching the train to my parents and was so hungry I went to the newsagents and the only thing vaguely allowed was peanuts so I ate some and then at my parents I had a quarter of a glass off wine. But I am supposed to be on veggie rung! Grrr! Quite annoyed with myself, and haven't lost at all. I feel at a bit of a loss today and not in the mood, but I have so far not gone to the shops and bought cookies which I what I felt like doing all day!

        One of those days I guess...hopefully will post cheerier message soon.

        How's everyone else doing?

          I know what you mean. I went to my mom's house for my sister's birthday...she had made a pumpkin roll and chocolate secret cake and watergate salad and all this super yummy food...I have never wanted to eat cake so much in my life!! It was all I could think about!

            Hey everyone just checking in. I am still sitting with the extra weight that I gained over the weekend. I am staying true to the WOE though, it has to give sometime. Yesterday's menu~
            Breakfast -2 chicken legs
            lunch - a salad with sliced chicken breasts, olive mix topped with Caesar Dressing, dinner - 2 pieces grilled catfish, cauliflower and green beans
            night snack -2 ounces cream cheese topped with salsa

            I might have to give that meat/fat fast that aparmour is trying a shot if the scale doesn't move by Thanksgiving. Don't want to eliminate my veggies if it not necessary so will wait another week or so to see if something gives.

              Yesterday was not too good. Had eaten ok all day (eggs cheese roast beef mixed nuts broccoflower) but then last night opened a non-diet drink by accident, took a swig before noticing, and then drank it anyway. Bumped up my excercise to attempt compensation for the excess carbs (47g extra) and going extra low carb today just to be safe.

              Weighing tomorrow...

                Thats a b***h when you do something like that on accident. I haven't done that with softdrink but have done it with stuff that I find out has maybe a breadcrumb in it before. Sounds like you have a good plan there to knock out the excess carbs though. Good luck on your weigh in!

                  I did the same thing once; my husband and I were eating dinner, and I picked up his glass instead of mine. I took a big swig before I realized it wasn't my Diet Rite. It was a couple of weeks ago, so now I make sure I fix our drinks in different glasses. I am really tired, so I think I may start back on regular induction tomorrow...Saturday at the least. I am supposed to be grading papers, but I can barely keep my eyes open...This has not really been very hard, and I never thought I would be looking FORWARD to eating scrambled eggs and a salad again...but I really am. I hope my loss is still going today. Anyway, I am glad everyone is doing good. I still hope to lose 10 more pounds before Christmas, but I don't know if it is possible or not.
                  Today I ate:
                  B- Pork Chops
                  L- Roast Beef with Devilled Egg
                  D- Chicken Breast with Devilled Egg
                  Snack- 7 Macadamia Nuts

                  Exercise- 1 hour- step aerobics, arm work with weights, and crunches.
                  80 Ounces of Water and 2 Diet Rites

                  Good luck tomorrow everybody! This board is really helping me SOOOO much!

                    Sigh.... I am startin to believe that carbs can get through your eyeballs and stall or put weight on you just for looking at them!!!

                    I'm still stuck this morning without the hoped-for birthday whooshie... and it's my own fault even though I was very good yesterday.

                    Today I'm challenged with DS's Thanksgiving feed for students & their families. I'll probably get like a slice of turkey & green beans, & drink my own water & eat a cheese chunk for dessert. I'll try to be good this weekend & weigh again on Monday...

                    Breakfast& snack 2 fried eggs w/1 oz mixed cheeses, 10 mixed nuts & viennas, slim jims on hand in case needed after lunch. Dinner -TBD at DM's - her treat.

                        I was wondering the same thing - she hasn't posted on ADBB since 11/2! Hope she's OK...


                        Maybe I can hijack this thread and turn it into lose 5 pounds by Easter. OK - sorry for the sarcasm, but it's this darn super-efficient metabolism of mine - doesn't seem to use any fuel lately. Either that or my tank's full of hi-octane fat!

                        Anyone else having this curse of the yo-yo dieter?

                          Hope everyone had a good lowcarb weekend. I am still holding on to the extra 2 lbs I picked up last weekend . I really want to be able to drop a couple more pounds before christmas but really getting discouraged here. Gonna try to up my water by another bottle today and see if I can whoosh. How everyone doing out there? LOL, Boonie yeah think I need Easter for 5 lbs. or at least Mardi Gras!

                            I know what you mean- it seems like it is taking forever to lose any weight (even with this miracle diet and exercise). Maybe I do have the curse of the yo-yo dieter, too. Anyway, I had a pretty good weekend. I coach cheerleading, and I had to go a basketball game Saturday night. Of course, we didn't get anything to eat except concession stand food (nachos, fries, candy, hot dogs). I ate three weinies with mustard for dinner that night- not at all appetizing. At the game last night I had 1 weinie and 1 small hamburger patty. It was not fun. I brought some pumpkin seeds in my bag, so I had a few of those to tide me over. I haven't weighed again, but I hope that I am still losing weight. I really did want to lose 15-20 lbs before Christmas, but it isn't looking like it is going to happen. Maybe we should say Easter instead...but I wanted to lose more like 30-40 lbs by Easter...

                            Yesterday:
                            B- Mock Danish
                            L- Bottle of water (I left my lunch at home )
                            D- 1 weinie, 1 small hamburger patty with mustard
                            S- Pumpkin seeds, crunchy cheese

                            3 bottles of water- a little lower than normal

                            I have a MONSTER headache this morning- my students will probably tell me that I need to get my broom out!

                              B - 1 sausage patty from McD's, 2 egg omelet cheese, sauteed veggies (onion, tomato, peppers) & scrapple mixed in.

                              L - beef steak & sauteed veggies (cabbage, onion, ginger)

                              D - Fish filet w/ scallions & mayo & seasoning

                              (all of above leftovers, except patty, that gotta get gone before T-day!)

                              Saw 174 this am, before dressing. Keepin' fingers crossed!

                                Well, I'm 3.6 pounds above my goal for Thanksgiving morning, but given the yo-yo scale readings lately, I'll be happy if the scale reads below 200. (Please please please be closer to 196 than to 200!!).

                                Food has been rockin' lately. Breakfast has been a mock danish with some bacon, lunch is usually tuna and some veggies, and dinner is whatever I can scrounge. However, yesterday, we went out to lunch -- ribeye with creamed spinach - of which the leftovers were for din-din. Yummy.

                                I hope all is well is everyone's world this morning.
