    Thanks Baarb,

    I have made it all the way through the rungs now. I no longer actually count carbs I just think more in the way of either meat, salad, veggies together, or a salad when I eat. I snack on either cream cheese topped with salsa, salsa sprinkled with splenda, cheesechips or the occasional sf russell candy. I drink a lot of hot tea with heavy cream (@ 3-4 cups of day), iced tea and trying to up my water.

    Sitting at the same spot on the scale was hard but to actually have put a couple pounds back on is .

              Atkid - Sorry to be an insolent pain in the butt, but have you considered counting again just to make sure you're in the right number for still losing? I'd be lost if I wasn't counting. Or dropping down a level? And I hear you on putting on weight - I've gained two pounds, but I'm not changing my ticker, I'm in denial.

              Princess Leah - welcome back! Stick with it! Are you on induction again? Have you got dates in mind for your goals to stay focused? I'm still aiming for 181 by Xmas. I've joined the 6WEC, so those pounds don't stand a chance (hopefully)

                This is going to drive everyone who is a nutritional nut crazy, but I think that I am going to start skipping breakfast again. If I EAT breakfast I am MORE hungry at lunch that I am when I DO NOT eat breakfast. And by eating breakfast, it doesn't make my late night cravings disappear. Instead I end up eating breakfast, lunch, dinner, and an 8:30 snack as well. I just think I could save on the calories and stress of making sure I have something to eat for breakfast (especially since the bars are forbidden). What do you guys think? I know it sounds crazy, and eating breakfast is supposed to be super good for you...but I just haven't seen many benefits. Today I have had:
                Turkey slices, slice of cheese, broccoli, a little okra, and a diet rite soda.

                I still haven't lost any MORE weight, but I am trying to exercise a few extra minutes every day...I feel stronger, but I just want to be able to SEE results. Do you know what I mean?

                    Aparmour!

                    I would say don't do it! Or at least, don't do it yet. Possibly try other kinds of breakfast first. I do know what you mean, though, I used to have it where I could last to lunch fine without breakfast and would be ravenous if I'd had it. Now though, I'm the total opposite, I feel sick and shaky if I don't have breakfast, and I've found the bigger the breakfast and the higher the % of my daily carbs I have there, the better my weightloss goes. So I'm a big believer in 'breakfast like a king, lunch like a lord and dine like a pauper'.

                    So you could try reweighting your meals that way first? And other foods - you can't beat a fry up for breakfast, with mushrooms, tomatos, eggs and bacon.

                    Good luck!

                        how's everyone doing on this challenge? I'm inching closer to the original goal. Might just make it by Xmas if I don't screw up the weekend again.

                        Any news?

                            Are you next weighing on 23rd dec? I wish I had that kind of willpower.

                            The Triathlon exercise challenge has already made a huge difference - I've doubled my time in the gym and it's working! Am relieved as was losing but then gaining.

                            Best of luck

                              Yes, I am holding out as long as I can before weighing, this is the first tme I have been able to free myself from the scale but it was just so frustrating to see the numbers going up.

                                Well folks, I'm done 1 more pound today - to 173 this morning - brings my challenge loss total to a grand total of 2.

                                UGH!!! But, I'm cutting way back this week after a bit of naughtiness, and hope to see progress as eating only induction/rung 1 menu continues, except for some alcohol during upcoming festivities.

                                Additional recent progress includes:
                                Monday - zipped a favorite leather coat up, which I could only wear unzipped last winter;
                                Tuesday- Mom said "you can't wear those pants any more to work, they're too baggy";
                                Wednesday - I had to tie a knot in the elastic of another pair of pants to keep them from sliding down exposing my unmentionables (they don't look too baggy yet otherwise);
                                Today - Wearing a skirt with a belt hooked the 4th hole in instead of 3rd one used last week.
