        Nicole, come join us! Just take your starting weight and measurements, post them, and you can either post updates weekly or monthly!

        We all used www.fittogether.net which is quite a cool site!

        HG--Yes, do those lunges! You can do walking or stationary lunges. I do stationary lunges with weights. Yesterday I took it easy and used 15-20-25lb. weights. Usually I start with 30 pounders. Form is important. Make sure your front knee is NOT going past your toes. So if you have to back up your other leg a bit, do so.

          Your too cool Jules! 30 lb weight while doing lunges? Jeeesh I need to get going on my weights. I will try. I am a bit careful with form, cuz it hurts like crazy to go over the front toe!

            Well I didn't START with 30 pound weights. Start light, get used to the proper form. Do you have a mirror you can practice in front of? No joke. It's really important that you don't stick that knee out over your toes.

              I don't have a mirror to work out in front of. But my dh watches me exercise all the time. He thinks it is sexy when I sweat! LOL And he is the form ****! SO I think I have it covered, but I do think I have to bring my back lag farther back.

                Okay!!! I'll get my Stats up HOPEFULLY this weekend. It's a little hectic for me right now with Easter, and a 6 years old
                I just joined that site, but have no idea what to do...lol.

                  Nicole, click on the blue arrow logo that says Body Fat monitor. Start with a blank/new measurement and click go. Each of the measurements will be listed, along with instructions on how/where to place the tape measure for each body part. Once you're done and you save your info, it gives you BMI, body fat, and tips. You can do a new one each week, and you can compare charts, which is super cool!

                    Happy Saturday everyone. Are you ready for Easter? I’m not thinking about the food at all. I’m thinking about staying good for Bootcamp. I will prepare extra legal snacks to keep around just in case I get the munchies.

                    Hi Nicole – Welcome to the 4th of July challenge. We’re glad you joined the group.

                    Julie…wow… You can do 30 pound weight’s with lunges! I’m impressed! I could do lunges with Cookie (my Yorkie ) she weighs 4 pounds 12 ounces… she’s grown a bit.

                    Hubbys Girl, you were on-line so early. How did you do that? You were up as late as I was…lol!

                      Ah Cher, the life of a mom! I was up super late for me anyways last night, till 2 am. And then my son woke me up around 7:30 am this morning, so I only got a bit of sleep, and I got on this morning while my son ate his breakfast. My other 2 kids (9 and 13 year old girls) didn't wake up until about 9 am so mom was on duty from early early early with DS.



                      Well, gotta go do a bit of hoping around here and then go do laundry and household chores. And make a praline pumkin pie for tomorrows festivities. And some soy stuffing muffins for our turkey..... this one should be good!

                          I haven't done my measurements yet, but I'm going to. My weight is 290.8. My goal is to lose 25 pounds by the 4th of July. If that seems unrealistic I can lower it to 20, but I really think I can do it Let me know what you guys think

                            Hey Cher, I just wanted to do something to the challenge link in my siggy that kind of reflects me a bit better, I understand completely if you'd rather I change it back to the fourth of July, because it is the name you picked for your challenge, but I was hoping it would be ok for me to show my Canadian patriotism, and make it my goal to accomplish this by Canada Day. Which is on July 1st instead of the 4th. Is it ok that i changed it? I really really want you to tell me what you think, even if you'd like me to change it back. Also f it offends anyone else, please know it is not my intention. I will of course change it back if anyone feels I should. Honestly, no offence is intended.

                              I only measure "1" of everything too! How silly I never thought about measuring both thighs or arms or whatever LOL

                              Ok, so that leads to a question: On mybodycomp.com if, for example, one thigh is smaller than the other thigh, how do you put the measurement on there? do you put the smaller number? Now I've confused myself.
