44 pounds is a fantastic weight loss for 3 months. You are doing great
Going back to induction would be a mistake at this point. You would probably slow down your weight loss. Keep doing what you are doing. Of the slow and steady...steady is the operative word here. You have done an incredible job and you will turn around and all of the weight that you want to lose will be gone in a very short time. Don't worry. You are handling this perfectly

Hi All! Hg, I'll be right there with you in my panties (no I don't mean we'll be together in panties) taking measurements this week. I just KNOW my legs are smaller...at least my pantLEGS are baggier. Maybe it's the pants gnomes letting out my seams in the middle of the night. I think my waist is smaller too. Either that or I need new glasses.

I just did a 4 mile run and now I'm chilled to the bone. Better let PT Geoff give me a backrub. He's making me dinner right now. <cracking the whip>

HG, the reinduction is about getting everything back under control. Particularly the cravings and getting back to a deep ketosis where appetite is suppressed. Yes, I want the weight loss too, I want to get to goal. Sooooo, back to induction for me.

I did achieve ketosis today. When I got home from work I tested. It had been 6 hours since I last ate and I had 100 ounces of water by that time, and still registered dark pink on the sticks. It definitely was STORED fat being burned, not what I'd eaten. WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

My DH doesn't do back rubs

BUT, he had dinner going and the kitchen cleaned and the laundry done AND was mopping the floor when I walked in the door. He got lots of praise and hugs and kisses. Whatta guy!!

Awwwww Joy, my dh gives back rubs, but no chores for him! LOL He says that is why we have a teenager! LOL

BTW she hates it when he says that.... she usually gives him a poke in the ribs whenever he does and drags out the whining *dddaaaaadddddddyyyy!*which drives him nuts!

Nice that he did all of that around the house though.

after almost 5 months on Atkins and over 63 lbs down! Watch for updates!

Thanks for the clarification Joy and Cher on the reinduction thingy. I don't feel *I* need to go back to that right now, but it is nice to see the strategies that others use when things need to be tweeked to get to their goal. And Cher, my weight loss has been wonderful, I am deffinately enjoying the results of this wonderful WOL, but it hasn't been steady for me. Burst of weight loss would be more accurate.

Jules, I look forward to us both being in our panties at the same time but not in the same place to take our measurements this week. I measure on Saturdays.....you?

HG--usually Friday or Saturday, whenever I remember! I might wait until Saturday, as Geoff and I are going out for a drink tonight. I figured what the heck, let's have a drink. It's not like I'm weighing this week anyway. Darn TOM.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to check in. Im doing good, yesterday I completely spaced breakfast once I realized it it was lunchtime but this AM I made sure I ate. I have been using my treadmill for at least 30 minutes a day most days 45.

I am concerned im not eating enough but if im not hungry I feel I shouldn't keep eating! Maybe I will try to track my calories for a few days to make sure.

Wishing everyone the best of luck!!!
                        Have a Wonderful Day!

I felt pretty good about food yesterday, around 2100 calories, but only at 50g carbs. I've been trying to shoot for 60-65. Today I feel "back to normal"--I wasn't ravenous, but I was hungry (breakfast was small), so I had 1 oz. of almonds. I'm having lunch in about an hour. I think the hunger was a combination of TOM and that huge run from Sunday.

doing good here. I had 2 boiled eggs with mayo and jicama for b-fast and chicken breast, lettuce tomato and blue cheese dressing for lunch. Not very substantial, but I'm going to have steak and zucchini for dinner.

Idaho – it sounds like you’re doing great on the treadmill… 30 – 45 minutes a day should have you on Bikini shape for the summer in no time.

Julie – Your food level sounds good, especially given the amount of working out that you do. My aim is to try and keep my calories higher so that my body isn’t starving itself. But, it helps to have a workout schedule like you do… I still need to work on that.

Hi Joy – I’m still with you in bootcamp and it really feels good. I already feel better. I had Zucchini for lunch, boy was that good.

Heather – Good to hear you’re having a good day too. Everyone’s had such a great lunch, your grilled chicken salad & chili sounds like it was good.
