Scooter here ya'll. Tonight I shall measure and post....(scary....).

        Measuring (scary) posting (not scary...haha)

I'm shooting for the 15 pounds. That will put me within 10 pounds of my goal!

Bring it on! Bring it on! Out running last night. Well not actually running, more like running, shuffle, walk, limp, walk, run, shuffle, hack, run....haha (you get the picture.....haha) I'll get there eventually!

Best of luck everyone...... Cher, this is really kind of cool.....other than the 20/24 thing I've never done one of these challenges....awesome!!

Hey all! How are you doing? I am excited to take measurements on Friday...I know that the minimum is once per month, but I think I'm going to do weekly ones. I swear I feel smaller since last week and I hope the tape measure reflects that!

              Hey guys
I'm doing good too. My calories are too low and I can't eat til I get home, but who knows, maybe it'll help me lose a lb. hehe
I exercised the last two days, my focus right now is to get back into the exercise groove...

Julie - I think I'm going to measure more often too. It helps when the scale moves slowly!

Hope everyone else is doing good.

                  Joy,

You got your stats in…Yay…good for you! It’s great to have you back from Chicago. You’re going for under goal …WoW! I did the same thing. I actually lowered my goal. That way I’ll have a few pounds to play with .

Scooter… this is your first challenge? I’m so proud of you . It will really be fun. It’s nice to have a support group to help us reach our goals. I’ll mark you do for 15 pounds. I’ve actually made a chart, but I’m trying to refine it a little bit.

Julie – Wow… go for it. I thinking {{{{{{{ really small}}}}} for your measurements on Friday!

Heather – I’d like to build up to the running to. So, I’ll help you if you help me. We can WOG for a while. That’s what Adena calls it. Walk for a while and run for a while. We’ll build up slowly.

Adreliluc – It sounds like you’re goal is the same as mine. I need to develop a commitment to exercise. So far I’m feeling pretty good about what I’m doing, but I need to do more. Sounds like we’re all on the same track.

Hey Hubby’s girl… Ok well we need a measure-a-holic on the team…lol. You and Julie can have fun with that one, You’ll have to remind me to do that on the beginning of the month. I run away from the tape measure.

Sorry I checked in so late today. I’ll be here early in the morning CA time tomorrow. Of course everone will be having lunch by then .

Hi Adena, Julie, Idaho, Joy, Adreliluc, Heather, Hubby's Girl,
Miss Ree, Wiara and Scooter. How's everyone doing today?

I have not jumped on that bike yet... so I'm confessing.
I'm making a commitment to my 'summer legs' and you guys/gals
to go do the bike and come back feeling better about myself .

Also, I ate nuts last night {{{sigh}}} It's either the nuts or the
LC ice cream that I struggle with. Don't get me wrong... I can
have the nuts, but, I've been getting a little carried away with
eating them . They can also cause headaches (which I struggle
with). So, I need to let them go. Especially if I want to lose my
weight by July 4th. So, just for today... I'm going to throw out
                    those silly nuts .

Cher, get the nuts and the lc icecream OUT of your house. It has GOT to go. Tonight. Get it GONE. You'll be so much more "at peace" if you do.

For those who haven't visited my journal, I'm reinducting. Its been a year since I've been on induction, and I also had a huge "low carb" binge over the last weekend....you can read my shame in my journal...and I need the appetite suppression, the control, etc that induction will help me with.

Anyway, I did NOT exercise today, had a very stressful day at work, came home and got my housework done which I feel good about and ate a dinner of pork loin and roasted asparagus. I did exactly 20 net carbs today and about 1500 calories.

                        Joy,

The nuts and LC ice cream are gone! And…
                        I’m reinducting with you…
just to get the LC cravings out of my system…
plus anything to get me closer to my goal.
                        But… only for two weeks

Don’t feel shame Joy, shame doesn’t help!
                        Whatever you’ve done is over.
Today is a new day… and, you are so close to goal
You’re an awesome example to everyone.
                        I’m really proud of you…

Wow Cher and Joy, reinduction? That is cool! I never even thought about going back on induction.... Or at least I only though about it when I was stalled out. Then I did my March madness individual challenge and had those results I posted in pictures. Do many people go back on induction? Is it to stop the cravings, or to repair any over done low carb bingeing? I am new at this, so I really would like to know....

LOL CHer! I am going to be the measure aholic! I'll try to remember to remind you for the first of the month. But then again, I may be in my underwear measuring myself and too distracted to remember to remind you! LOL

Joy, I'm going to stop by your place, but I agree with Cher.... Shame is never a good thing. Beating myself up is what usually ends up putting me in a place where I binge. I hope this isn't the case for you. You are an amazing lady, you help so many people *me included!* So if you overdid something, just get refocused and keep going! You know this already I am sure, but us newbies need to feel needed! LOL SO hence the advice from the newbie! LOL ............ See yah at your place ;p

Back to my report for today.

I did a bit of exercise, but not enough I am afraid. I had to take my sister out and about today, she just had surgery last week and has a 7 inch incission. She can't lift her 30ish pound daughter so I was carrying two toddlers around for the better part of the day. I think that counts as exercise! LOL Also I went for a short walk after dinner.

Foods were good, but I think I over did the strawberries a bit today. Other than that... all is good.

after almost 5 months on Atkins and over 63 lbs down! Watch for updates!

                            Hubby's girl,

Usually when I have a stall, I go up in my carbs a notch
and that breaks the stall. So, this really is to curb my
cravings. Usually, it does that in 3 - 4 days. But I'd like
to do it for 2 weeks anyway. We'll see.

I hope your sister is doing OK! With a 7" incision I hope
                            she being really careful.

Alright..... I was just wondering. The induction thing is attractive in that maybe weight loss could be speeded up, but I think slow and steady for me is best right now. If i see too many cravings, I'll consider induction for getting back in control. It is nice to see that other people have thought of this.

Oh, and yeah sis is being careful. She had a baseball sized cystic tumor removed from her ovary. And a golf ball sized one removed from the other side. So the incision is just like she had a c-section. Not fun, but thankfully she will feel much better when she has recouperated form the surgery. Thanks for asking.
