        my god i had to go back about 10 pages!!! this is gonna take some keeping up with!!

        I think one chapter a week is best, to answer one question

        I'm a january girl but i dont wanna be first on the calendar! haha!

        ditto on baarb! are we doing weekly weigh ins/measurements?? or just one at the end of the challenge??

        done some ab work and push ups today - in bed, that counts right? lol

        having a skinny day today!! i could see everything when i looked down! belly wasnt in the way! weeeeeeeeee

              Yeah for skinny days...I am expecting that to come my way after TOM...just ran 5.5 miles, after all I am gearing up to loose weight this month, 5lbs is what I am working for!!!! Gotta love that enthusiasm that carried me through that run. I am gonna be a goal-eeeee

                Holy Moly!!! This is GREAT! I love this challenge thread!

                Now on the posting of exercise...I already post in the abs challenge and the 6WEC and the pedometer challenge, so is it okay if I don't post that all over again in here...or are we all recording daily exercise in here, if so, I will too.

                Secondly, I know this has been asked but haven't actually read an answer I don't think...do we post our updated measurements and weightloss on a weekly basis, say every Wednesday or Thursday, or do we just post one more time at the end of the challenge with weight, measurements and an updated picture?

                Sorry gals...won't be able to read along with you in the DANDR as I just loaned the book to a friend of mine on Wednesday night when she was over.

                3 things I like most about me:

                1. I have a great sense of humor
                2. I'm very considerate, generous and giving
                3. I am a good friend and a good listener

                So, maybe Julie if you could clarify for everyone exactly how this is going to work regarding posting exercise and when we are supposed to report updates then we can all be on the same page. Thanks muchly!

                  OK, here are some clarifications.

                  1) This is NOT a challenge that is STRICTLY RUN (except in spirit!) I'm not going to deny you an award if you miss a day, or if you are busy and can't post, or if you don't see an assignment. I know that each and every one of you are here because you TRULY WANT TO BE, and you are participating because you want to, not because you have to!

                  2) Weigh-ins and measurements can be done weekly, every two weeks, every month, or just at the end of the challenge. The option is yours! Personally, I love seeing my measurements go down each week. But others might only feel comfortable measuring every month. It depends on your preferences and where you are in the program. THE CHOICE IS YOURS! Just make sure you are updating us on your progress!

                  3) You may weigh and measure on any day or at any time. Many of us already have set days that we weigh/measure, and please feel free to keep that schedule. Update us when it's convenient for you!

                  4) You DO NOT have to record your exercise here unless you want to. I think it's fun to see what others are doing, especially because we're all involved in so many different challenges. You don't have to make a special post, just drop a line (if you want to) in your update and let us know what you're up to!

                  5) MONDAY will be the first week of the book discussions. It will be very informal, and participation is optional, but I'm guessing that since we're all Atkins fans, we'll all be pretty interested in the discussion topics! Starting Monday, for that week, we will discuss chapters 1, 2, and 3, since they are very general and basic. This is a group effort, so please FEEL FREE TO POST any opinions, topics, questions, thoughts, rants, and raves about those chapters. I will think of some good discussion prompts, but remember, there is no "boss" of this challenge. We're all equals, in it together for the same reasons. Let the discussion begin!

                    selfreinvented--all you have to do to join is take a before pic (you don't have to post it if you're not comfortable), post starting measurements, and you're in! This challenge ends on Labor Day, giving you roughly 2 months. Pick a pounds goal--how much weight would you like to try to lose? We pick a pounds goal, but I think the real victory will be inches lost, that's why measurements are so important.

                      Well-I've got to say this is pretty exciting! I'm loving all the positive energy here folks! Okay.... played tennis-doubles this morning for 1 hr 1/2...will be organizing tonight's round robin games but won't play more 'till Sunday-swimming tomorrow maybe?? Still haven't figured out the ticker - photo thing but I'm working on it. By the way, I'm a December (24th) girl. Onward and downward?

                                Morning! Checkin' in to say hi! Last night I did some more measurements as I saw everyone else had so many more areas measured:
                                neck:13 1/2 inches
                                knees: 19
                                ankles: 9 1/2
                                wrists: 6 1/2 (at least I'm balanced... lol)
                                lower abd: 39
                                funny how the more you measure the more inches you lose!
                                Had a lovely morning walk, abd and pushups done, and some stretches...
                                going to go to the nursery and pick up a few more plants... am on a gardening kick.
