Broke up with the bf today guys! Now I can spend more time for me and not waste any money!!! YAY! =)
do you get to count this as part of your weight loss? ha ha...just kidding. If this is a good thing to be rid of him, then congrats! No one needs heavy baggage to drag around.
Ive been sick 5 almost 6 weeks, since i gave up smoking, i think my bodies struggling to deal with the fact i dont pollute it anymore.
Emma, this may be common knowledge, but I found this on a site and thought it was interesting:
HOW YOUR BODY REACTS AFTER YOUR LAST CIGARETTE
Within 20 minutes of your last cigarette, your blood pressure and heart rate drop to normal! Within 8 hours of your last cigarette, the carbon monoxide level in your blood drops and oxygen levels in your blood increase to normal! Within 24 hours of your last cigarette, your chance of heart attack decreases! Within 48 hours of your last cigarette, your sense of taste and smell increase! Within 72 hours of your last cigarette, your bronchial tubes relax, making breathing easier, and your lung capacity increases! Within 2 to 12 weeks, coughing, sinus congestion and shortness of breath decrease, your lungs' ability to clean themselves and ward off infection increases! After 5 years, for average smokers, the rate of death from lung cancer is nearly cut in half! After 10 years, the lung cancer death rate is nearly the same as that for non-smokers! Pre-cancerous cells are replaced and the chance of developing cancer of the mouth, larynx, esophagus, bladder, kidney and pancreas also decreases!
I don't want to come across as all preachy about smoking, but I sure hope you can hang in there and not go back. Quitting smoking and trying to control your carb intake must be really hard, so hats off to you!
Wow I have lots to catch up on! what a busy thread!
Esteliana- Good for you!
I am restarting induction after a few mess ups. I do NOT like the bloaty crappy feeling,so I guess this will teach me to to not cheat!
Inhisgrip- I look forward to working out too now,I used to loathe exersize!
Hi everyone!
I went to the movies last night! We saw The Debaters (Great movie btw! highly recommend it!) and I made chicken and mushroom alfredo over zuccini for me (over spagettie for the fam) it was soooooooooooooo good! and satisfying... totally untempted by the popcorn last night! but still... was scared to get on the scale for some reason this morning... I did anyways... and 175.3 yeah!!!!!! so happy! Gosh, this really works! huh?
liz
I just love my chicken alfredo over broccoli, who needs pasta when you can so well without it. I am going to have to try it over the zuccini, did you slice it a certain way or just however? My daughter went to the movies night before last and seen the new Will Smith movie, something with The Legend. Does not recommend it at all. Good job on another pound down.
Soccermom, hope your kids are feeling better today.
You too Emma, I know whats it like to have a longstanding cough. When I pregnant with my last one I had it like 4 weeks prior to having her and it hung on another good 3 weeks after that. Sorry you have to go through it.
Bekka, sorry to hear about your breakup. It is easier if you are the one to break the ties but it still hurts I think. But more time for you and saving money are good things.
Liz, I wish I could learn to love exercise. You know I am a stay at home mom, have all the time in the world to exercise and just can't get more than 30 minutes in a day.
Cat, is your mom better today?
Everyone have a nice Saturday, it is beautiful outside, I need to get out there.
I am glad that you were able to right your wrongs and that you didn't give in completly. I don't know how many times I have started this diet and given up after a few days b/c I had one cheat! I believe we can all do this, so lets keep on truckin!!! haha

do the same thing too if I get fed up with the scale. I once ate an entire large pepperoni pizza in one sitting out of spite.
Good for you for getting right back on track!
Hopefully, nex time I can find a more productive way to deal with the evil scale! Thanks for your support

I'm so excited for tomorrow's weigh-in, I'm buying a new scale for my new journey! My old one shows a different weight depending on which side of the bathroom it's on, so either the law of gravity are flexible in my bathroom, or it's broken. I did get 4 years out of it and it only cost $5, so I think it's time to move on.
I've been totally cheat-free, and I've done 5 hours of cardio and 1 1/2 hours of strength training this week, so I'm ready to get this party started.
Good luck to everyone weighing-in tomorrow morning!
The difference between 'involvement' and 'commitment' is like an eggs-and-ham breakfast: the chicken was 'involved' - the pig was 'committed'.

Oh my gosh last night was so stressful. As an emotional eater this incident would have sent me on a binge - instead I chewed the heck out of some gum last night (which I was trying to cut down on). My Mom fell and we ended up at the ER. This was bad because in October my Mom fell and shattered her left knee. This is the same leg that she has a prosthesis on (had bone cancer at 18 and had her leg amputated below the knee). She had been staying with me. When she screamed, my heart dropped into my stomach. I threw my laptop (luckily it's still working). My nerves were so shot and I was so tired that I didn't even go to work today. However, I did not cheat (even though I wanted to).
I am so glad everything workout ok and that you didn't cheat. Bless your heart.
Hi everyone! Had a rough day yesterday with just being super busy... hardly time for a real break... but brought good food... a co worker brought in Jello cake... looked so good... she kept after me to have some... "Just have a little and exercise it off!'' I resisted though... very resolved right now... and was rewarded by another lb drop on the scale this am! yeah!!!!
Atkid: the zuccini I sliced lengthwise into skinny strips... to make faux noodles. ha!
That sounds really good to have the Alfredo Chicken with Broccoli! I also put a lot of mushrooms in mine. Everyone thought I must have used mushroom soup... but I didn't! I can't believe I can lose wt eating such a rich and decadent meal! So filling and satisfying.
Emma: OH! that makes sense... well, eventually your body will get rid of all those toxins and you'll really start to feel better. I am so proad of you for giving those up! So hard! especially now... but it'll be worth it.
Well, I have to work again today, only I have to go in an hour ealier... so going to go outside and soak up a little sunshine... It's a gorgeous day out there! Have a good one everyone!!!!!!!
Can't wait to see how everyone does tomorrow! Awesome!
liz
I had a hectic day yesterday as well, starting early in the morning till late at night. Another busy day today, and starting the slim in 6 program today as well. We're off on our cruise in less than 7 weeks, and the last time I did the program, I lost a ton of weight, and lots of inches. So I'll put away the Turbo Jam for now, and bring out Debbie, for the next 6 weeks! See you guys tomorrow!
