I haven't personally met anyone online, however, I have a couple of clients who are married to someone they met online!

I have, and plan to meet more. There is someone I would love to meet in Denver Colorado, (as soon as the snow stops there) and another in Tn or is it KY, I can't remember!!

I have met hundreds of people from the internet! (Literally!) I'm a member of a band's fanclub, and it's amazing how much we all chat on there about everything but the band haha. When I go to concerts, there's always someone asking what my username is, and 9 times out of 10, we've talked online.

Other times, I've actually arranged to travel with people I've talked to online but never met. I have never had a bad experience (so far) and infact, I've made some of the best friends through that website. 5 years on, we're still really close, to the point where we travel across the country or world to see each other, completely forgetting how we met.

Nowdays, I'm much more...weary of people online. It's still nice to be chatting to people at a concert and find out that we're spoken online but I've started to tell myself not to just meet random people for lunch like I've done before. Some of them ARE freaks lol

I have a Swiss friend who I 'met' online, we are both interested in solar eclipses. He came to Western Australia in 1999 for the annular eclipse and I went over from my home in the ACT. It was exciting and scary to meet someone you'd only 'spoken' to online, but he turned out to be a nice person, and we shared a hire car from Perth to the eclipse at Geraldton and had a great time. It was awesome to listen to him speaking to other overseas visitors - he went effortlessly from French to German to English all in the one sentence!
