I've never pumped my own gas.....ever. Thank goodness. It's much nicer sitting cozy in my car and letting someone else do it. It also doesn't effect our gas prices and it gives someone a job so all the better I say.Oh, I'm in Oregon. whoopsie! Just had to answer anyway.

You are very welcome! I know whenever it's voted about getting rid of it we all vote "keep it"! Especially on days like today. brrrrrrrrr.

I like pumping my own gas. Unless I'm wearing a flippy skirt and it's extremely windy.

Re: do you pump your own gas?

It's a rare location where I get the choice (unless I have someone with me willing to do it). Last time we returned from Exercise in the field, I had to get out of the vehicle and do the pumping. Gee, I hate smelling like diesel, but it beats lifting up the "jerry can" (20 litres or more) and trying to fill it by hand, I guess.

Re: do you pump your own gas?

I imagine it is hysterical that we call it "gas" to you then Rich...and that reminds me another reason I refuse to learn is the smell! that stuff gives me a headache ....there are lots of things I do in life that other people could not possibly see themselves doing..makes me a princess or anything....I do not think that my aversion to things that are that annoying, complicated or messy and are not related to my job ...I do a lot of complicated messy and sometimes smelly things in my job...should it be mandatory for me to learn in my personal life?...besides like Bug said ..it is cold and inside the car is warm..someone needs to do this one task for me ...so they do ...if it is not my husband or kids ... there is always someone at the gas station willing to help me out ..thank goodness or I would stand there staring at that pump waiting for it to work itself ...

I resent all this self serve crap for sure ...I work a lot of hours in a very stressful field....and I like being served (or serviced LOL) ..when I am not working ...I am so not using the self check out at the grocery store and I do not use an auto teller...or a cash machine...someone gives me cash and I spend it when I need to buy stuff or I will use a credit card but the cashier has to swipe it because I always put it in the wrong way! When I am on the clock I am all about taking care of you...however when I am done working I want to be taken care of ... by people not machines I can not figure out
I am not a princess... as I said.. I just want to not have to think all the time!
