The one good thing about living in NJ. It is another place you may not pump your own. So at 30 + in Texas I had to learn to do it. Went to NJ on vacation and out of habit I got out to pump it, boy I get yelled at.

oh I did not know about NJ !!!! I should have said "a state" instead of Oregon in the poll!!! I wonder how many states have that law?

if I ever have to move that will be one of the reasons I choose the state is if they make you pump gas there or not!

I will be perfectly honest ..I just had to pump my own gas this past week ..but not until a nice guy came over and pushed all the buttons for me and then put the handle of the thing in my tank ..I did not even know how to open the gas tank! I have had this car for two years and never done it ..why is the thing to open the tank on the floor of my car anyway that is so stupid!!!!!

I don't use gas for fuel. Just Carrotts etc for my reindeer.


But when they pump gas its not funny, as I am sat in the wrong place.

You don't have any choice around here, the only way someone will pump your gas for you is if you are handicapped, the rest of us have to brave it and do it ourselves.

Mother of Gizmo is absolutely right. We in NC have to pump our own gas. I'm not sure if I've seen a full service gas station here in Greenville for years. But with the way people pump and run without paying, maybe the stations will be forced to bring back full service just to be sure they all get paid.

all of the PETROL station in the UK have cctv on all of the forecourts, which stops people from driving off without paying for their PETROL as it keeps track of liscence plate numbers. Surely thats also used in the States?????
