What happens if you just want to fill your tank up but don't know how much you need to put in, or if you pay for more than will fit in your tank.

Hmmm "not being able to hold the pump and fill at the same time." Here in LA, at least the stations I frequent, you can hold the pump handle and pump, but after a while I get a cramp, so I just use the lock and set it and walk away. Yes, we have to pay first or now slide your card at the pump as they have added that access.

The "not holding it whilst the petrol pumps" sounds confusing enough to me. What happens if you just want to fill your tank up but don't know how much you need to put in, or if you pay for more than will fit in your tank.

I do know this you over pay and they give your change back

good ...it pissed me off when I had to do that the other day as well ..I kept trying to find the slot to put the cash in the gas pump and when the teetering drunk told me finally to go inside I asked the girl "how much do I have to give you to fill my tank?" she looked at me like I was nuts and said "who knows it is your car" so out of it that was after work... I gave her $20 !!! I thought I would get change!!! when it hit the $20 I noticed I had less than half a tank .. I have a tiny sports car so I thought $20 would do it ..how the helll do I know how many gallons my car holds? is there a label or something???

You know before I even got my driver's license my father made me learn to change a tire and change the oil by myself! He said if you were going to drive it was your responsibility to be able to take care of the vechile and not be stranded by the side of the road by something as silly as a flat tire! Of course this was before cell phones so you could be by the side of the road for hours waiting for a good samaritin to stop and help, or find yourself walking miles along the side of the road looking for a phone.

I guess it would help me that is for sure ...how beautiful your hair is MOG!!!!

however I can change a tire and I know how to check the oil ...I learned to do that because I had a very cute boyfriend who was a motorhead when I was in High School!!! I wanted to impress him ..I also know the value of a can of air and have had to use them several times ...but gas pumping ...forget it someone has always done that for me...

I'm impressed that you can change oil and tires! I admit that I do not change my own oil even though I could if I had to. And thank goodness I have only been forced to change a tire a few times in my life, but I think all women (and men of course) should know how to change a tire, actually it should be part of driver's education class!

I'm impressed that you can change oil and tires! I admit that I do not change my own oil even though I could if I had to. And thank goodness I have only been forced to change a tire a few times in my life, but I think all women (and men of course) should know how to change a tire, actually it should be part of driver's education class!

ROLFLMAO dont be too impressed I can check it not change it!!!!

the one time I tried to change it to impress my boyfriend I kept pouring the quarts through waiting for the oil to come out clean on the bottom when it did look clean in the bin below ...(about a case and a half of oil) ...I thought I was done and almost tried to drive off with no oil in there

I have not tried since that was a very costly oil change!!! dork that I am!
