Thank you everyone! The closest whole foods is in New Orleans....LOL! BUT........I have a super target less than 5 miles away!!!!!!!!!! I will go there today! I'll let you know if they have it. Hey, good to know that netrition is reputable. I am going to check them out, see what all they carry!

I was browsing here this morning and decided to head to my local health food store to see if they had almond flour. I paid 14.00 something after taxes for a 4 cup bag. Now knowing that I like it, i'll be ordering it from that netrition.com site from now on. I made the recipe cranberry listed in the birthday cake thread in the other category. I made them in cupcake form, and they are soooo good! I don't typically like real butter, but it works well here. I made half plain, half with 2 oz cream cheese mixed in well. When I order I think i'll get the flax and hazelnut flours as well. I'll be testing different recipes as they come into my head, so i'll let everyone know the good ones I come up with.

Don't forget you can make it yourself. Get a big bag of raw almonds, put them in a coffee grinder and voila! Almond Flour.

Do you think a food processor would work just as well as a coffee grinder? I have a large foil type bag of raw sliced almonds that have been out in my deep freezer for awhile now, at least a year and a half. I never liked almonds until this round of atkins (my second and sure to stay), so I never did anything with them. May try that later and get back with the results...

Where are you in Florida again Shmooziecat, and what is it near?? There is apparently another store similar to Whole Foods but I can't remember the name of it. I'll ask Joy, I think she was talking about it.
