    Re: Anything Almond Flour...

I used my small one cup capacity food processor (it's ancient) and it worked so WELL! I did a bag of almond meal and a bag on pecan meal from the nuts in my freezer my grandmother gave me from like 1999. The pecan turned out especially well. I'm going to cook something with them and get back on it. Can anyone tell how bored I am, hehe?.....

That's great! When I tried to make ground pecans, I got pecan butter! But then again my pecans were fresh off of our pecan tree so maybe that's the differnce.

You're not bored, cooking is great fun! Take pics!

I made up a peanut butter cookie with the pecan meal. It doesn't taste like a peanut butter cookie at all really. They are fantastic, the texture is the absolute best thing about them. I'm extra heartbroken right now that my digital camera crapped out about 2 weeks ago (which is ridiculous because it's a year old and was fairly expensive). They aren't pretty or anything, kind of grey actually, but illustration still helps with stuff like this.

3/4-1 cup natural low carb peanut butter (I just kinda scooped)
          1/2 cup splenda
          2 eggs
2 oz slice of cream cheese
          1 tsp vanilla
          2 cups pecan meal
          1 tsp baking soda

375 for 8-10 minutes on a sprayed cookie sheet

Here is an ebay seller who sells it and ships worldwide. You can plug in your postal code to see how much shipping is. I'm not sure if it would be worth it to you. Can you get the raw almonds locally and grind them yourself?

whoops...forgot the link. Here it is!

Shmooziecat, Wild Oats, are there any of those around you? Valid Rouge (Joy) says there is one by her, she is on the West Coast of Florida. I am not sure where you are.

Ah, OK. No Wild Oats either? We don't have those around us. It's about 45 minutes to Whole Foods. But I LOVE that store.
