In 2 weeks you will be doing 5PM and working on 5.5 . if you are going with your toes barely on the back and your arms draped on the rails holding on for dear life you are going too fast. At some point you will have to decide if you want more spped or more incline and settle
I started seriously on the treadmill in July of last year. I'll try it out. I can't run so I thought that 4.5 was pretty much the faster I could go walking so I never really tried it beyond that speed. Do you hold on to the rails when you walk?

Nope I sometimes do after the the high intensity part when the incline is coming down cause it is lower theyn my brian remembers from the last step and I feel like I'm falling.

I used to wack the tar out of my hands stiding on the ones at the gym until I got below 180 pounds and wasn't so wide. I use a natural walking motion hands and legs.

I can't find Kricket, I think she is wherever the stupid remote to the TV has disappeared to, I'm going to check the couch. BRB.
I can't say we will hav to ask the rest of the treadmillers of you and Kricket on that glider can join.

I say Jasmain's in. It is a slight modification to the treadmill but a comparable exercise.

2Big-I just read your posts about how fast you can walk. Wow! I am amazed. I can go 4 mph at a slight incline and be dripping wet in half in hour. I'd be drowning in sweat if I was ever able to crank it up to your speed. I am going to try the tips you gave Miss Wanna and see if I can build up my stamina.

I'm going to consider it, and if I do think I can handle another thread to track and update, or put in enough miles to make it worth it, I'll come back in and post to join later. Just count me as a voyeur for now, just here to cheer you wonderful people on.

Be careful to not step on cricket when you start your version of treadmilling.

I did 30 minutes last night and 45 tonight. Boy, the balls of feet hurt! They get really dry and sore for some reason. I have wonderful new running shoes and I wear good socks, but my feet feel like they've been rubbed with sandpaper. Ugh!

Hi all, even though I originally said that I would be taking part in the treadmill challenge, I have decided to pull out and concentrate on other areas of excercise.

Thanks for having me aboard for all this time.

I would like to wish you all good luck and I hope you all reach target.

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!
