    Well, I did my 3 miles yesterday! So 3 of 165. Sounds like so little!! It will be fun to watch that first number increase!

    Sorry if my math freaked you out - I'm just a closet multiplication psycho!

                  I think the elliptical should count. I think it is harder than walking, plus I plan on using my elliptical to shake things up and prevent boredom and it will be great for rainy days.

                    I heard something interesting at work. Our nurse is a avid runner and reads lots of fitness journals and came across some study that said 20 miles of walking each week is the key to weight loss even if someone doesn't change what they are eating. Several years ago I walked five miles daily and when I think back I was about 15 pounds lighter. I hope this walking challenge helps all of us to see less of ourselves.

                      4/110 so far
                      2 miles Monday, 2 miles Wednesday
                      Plus a 2 mile bike ride, does that count for anything? hehe
                      Female / Currently on Extended Induction (again), begun 6/2/08.

                      I did Extended Induction from 1/3 to 5/9 (2006) and lost 55 pounds, so I know I can do it again!

                        Great info boxermom..I work out 6 days a week.. twice a week with a personal trainer..

                        He also suggested that I just walk 15 extra minutes a day...it will burn "serious fat" according to him.

                        But me the smack aleck that I am I replied "How the **** you would know, there not one ounce of fat on you". But he just kicked my but in kickboxing so, I was a little bitter...lol

                        Walking is great, burns alot of fat....and tones your legs, but and gut...
