  • September Squat Challenge

    Squats really shape up the bottom area and strengthen quads. I don't want a flabby butt, so let's start squatting!

        Squats kill my back. Can I modify them using a chair? If so I'll try for 750 for the month.

          WOW Looseshoes, great idea. But starting out I think I'll try an average of 25 a day, or a total of 750. I've got to allow for some sore muscles in there along the way

            What is a reasonable number for a first-timer? I mean someone who has never done a single squat?

            Tape Measure: I've lost 42.5 inches as of 3/15/2008

            Mini goals:
            215 - met 9/10/07
            205 - met 10/17/07
            195 - met 2/20/08

                  Hi Evermind, The last time I did squats was in 1977, and I was aout 70 lbs lighter than now. I went ahead for 750, or 25 a day. Remember, they don't have to be done all at once. My body was talking loudly after the first 15, so I took a break for a couple hours and just finished up the last 10.
