  • January Stability Ball Exercise Challenge ~ Sign Up and Reporting Thread

    Exercises that count in this challenge include, but are NOT limited to:

    lying hamstring curls
    tricep extensions
    reverse crunches
    lying leg press
    push ups
    jackknife
    stretching
    slow swim
    side plank
    seated leg extension
    bridge ball squats
    1 arm rows
    stability ball exericse tapes/dvd's

    Basically, any exercise that you do, using your stability ball will count.

      ok, well i am moving back to Tn and i wont have a ball anymore (been using my moms)..so if I can get one real soon after I move I will start up ASAP!
      I'm gonna be a bit more realistic this time and do 250 min.

          I'm going to try something new. 20 minutes, 3 times a week--I'll start with 240 minutes this month and see how it goes.

              i'm trying to do about the same thing as you. more minutes each time but fewer days. i've done pretty good the last 2 weeks of exerciing 4 days a week. that's worked out for me.

                I haven't done ball exercises before, but I played with it some last week and thought I'd give it a shot. I better get to it while the kids are gone. I have to go back to work tomorrow, sigh.

                  caryl, you'll do fine. probably wobbly doing some things but that passes with practice and ab strenth. there are some sight provided in the first post to get an idea on some things, if you missed that. i need to refer to them and add a couple new things.

                  i'll be back to edit and add some minutes for today.

                    20 minutes for me today-dvd--abs, weights, etc

                    Did pretty good, but got to laughing 'cause I was so wobbly on one and couldn't do anything, then!

                      I'm in again but cutting back a little ......... I'm trying to focus on the couch potato thing again and get my running in so I will commit to 10 minutes a day and hope for more!

                          I am up for this challange. I am suppose to say what my goals would be for the week right? I will say 120 minutes. I just bought my ball before Thanks Giving and have not had a chance to use it. This will be great for me.

                            goal would be for the month. the days that you accomplish some time, just log then in here and i'll keep a running total that will update about every 7 or 8 days.

                            so what i need is your monthly goal number.

                              15 minutes of balance ball stretch
                              15 minutes of various stuff, mostly dumbbell work with some inner thigh squeezes, squats and crunches
