I missed this board!!! Sorry for being MIA. My laptop was a very bad computer at the start of the month and burned through its second hard drive since I got it. I just got it back in the mail this week from repairs, and it's so wonderful having internet access again.

Okey doke, time to pull out the notebook I logged my exercise in. I started my first week with 10 minutes a day each day. Second week I worked up to 15 minutes by adding in more reps, but only on five of the days (went out of town 8/11-12 for my brother's birthday). Third week I did 20 minutes for 6 days. This past week I slacked on the 24th and 25th (just started a new lab job and it tweaked my sleep schedule), but 8/22, 8/23, and 8/26-28 I did 20, 15, 20, 20, and 20 minutes respectively.

Each day I do pushups (25 modified at first, now 40 at the hips), squats, jacknifes, back extensions, triceps (3-lb weights to start, now 5-lb), another arm/chest exercise (i think they're called flys), leg extensions, and hamstrings. I also cycle through about 6 ab exercises (I pick 2-3 different ones each day), but since I'm using them for another challenge, they're not included in the times.

So far, I've dropped a pants size, which is also a little bit loose now. I definitely did a happy dance at the fitting room!

Ack, rambling too much. So my total as of this Thursday is 360/400. As long as I keep to it through the weekend, I think I'll make it (and hopefully go over!).

Let me know if I should post a day-by-day as well (just didn't want to take up all that space if I didn't have to).

I'm so happy to be able to get back on the boards!

had been having to play catch up, but now should be able to complete the challenge, but hate that i'm always down to the wire on so many of my challenges every month.

terbear, I'm glad you're back with us in the computer world! I think I'd go bonkers without my laptop or having internet access. No, I am *not* addicted....LOL

As far as your numbers go, I'm glad you kept exercising and kept track! Good for you! I would, however, like your day-by-day breakdown....we don't mind that it takes up space. I'll then enter that into my spreadsheet. By the way, congrats on dropping a pant size! That's always a great feeling!!!!!

Gman, will you be doing a marathon of minutes to get to goal? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you make it!!! You'll be sore though.....

LLL, you have a stability ball class in your area? How cool is that? If you come across any fun or challenging exercises that you're willing to share with us, that would be great!

aleby, you've surpassed goal! Feels good, doesn't it?

monie, I have faith in you that you'll finish!! I've gone down to the wire in challenges before and it's a bit stressful for me. Do you experience that, too? As long as you get your minutes in, they'll count.

Jimmie, I see you've gone over your minutes, too. How are you holding up? Not over-doing it, eh? I might have to give Dr. Jack a call... As far as my foot is concerned, it hurts, but nothing I can't handle. The worst part is that the cast makes my foot itch...and I can't scratch the itchy areas! Pure torture!!!! Ah!

i'm good bio, thanks for being concerned. i've made real strides this month in what i can do and i still find limitations but they are not as prevelent as they were even last month.

jack keeps me in check. i had biked for 35 minutes yesterday and just finished up when he came home, ready to go walk. my legs were pretty much worn out and he woed me down as we walked the hiking trail. it took us 3 minutes longer to walk the path.

i don't know how i'd be with a cast. at least with radiation i could still go walk and i could bike. are you able to do your push up challenge?

I'm glad you've seen some great improvements in your abilities. Next month is just around the corner...perhaps you'll be able to do even more. I certainly hope so!

I don't think signed up for the push up challenge this month, if so...OOOPS!!! But, no, I can't do those unless I do them the girly way. I tried riding a stationary bike, but it was very awkward to say the least! LOL I'm having a difficult time finding aerobic exercises that I can do with this %#$%^&*!@ cast on me.

I'm so horrible about updating my siggy. I'm not participating in the C25K training either...lemme go make some adjustments. Thankfully, all that is easily fixable!!

Weekend is here for the marathon lol
I like to do a lot of weights and cals on the SB so doing more is actually pretty good.
                              Should meet goal tomorrow.
