RIU is done for today- I will probably so 6pk sometime later. I am eating my breakfast just thinking of how much Ms. Seibers annoys me with... not being able to count, not being consistant(as to number of reps for each side), sometimes I don't think she is very good at keeping with the beat either.... guess I had to find something to complain about this morning.. sheesh! maybe its pms... hehe

On a better note- when I got up this morning it looks like I don't have near as much cottage cheese on my legs....eeewwww... lol. I WISH I would have taken a pic in shorts or something bc I only took one in pants and I will not be able to tell near as much I don't think... oh well...

The not keeping time to the beat really irks me. I keep watching to see if she'll finally get it right this time. After 10 days, still no improvement.

Look at all the people who have already done their workout for today. Wow!

Barb- I envy your ability to do 5 1b weights and 1 shot a$$crampers. My noodle arms are still screaming about 3 pound weights and it kills me to hold my arms shoulder height even before I get to the resistance section.

Reveal- You will love to hate Debbie.

Shelly- You did it this morning. Regardless of time zones we were up and moving to the miscalculating Debbie.

I have a confession. I have no rhythm or ear for music and never noticed Rikki's observation about being off rhythm.

          Have a good day!

            Well, BIU is done.

All the resistance band work rocked - and again I used 5lb dumbbells for the shoulder work. It's time for me to move up to 8's though -cuz I can do all of them with the 5's without shaking. Ugh. I'm *not* looking forward to that at all! LOL

The second round of standing ab work still kicks my butt. I have to drop back for half of the standing side crunches. Cardio wise it just kills me and my heart rate shoots upwards of 180 bpm. It's ridiculous. The same holds true for those double knee pulls. My heart rate sky rockets....so I do as many as I can at half time and then march for the rest.

I didn't get through all the asscrampers in one shot. I got through the first 3 exercises on my right leg, but had to drop out for about half of the 4th. On my left leg ..I dunno what it is but my left butt cheek seems to be stronger than my right. LOL LOL I got through almost all of those.

The 2nd set of pushups kills me too. My arms and so shot by then!

Does anyone else find that their forearms cramp during ab work?? My forearms actually cramp - and it doesn't matter if I fold my hands behind my head, don't fold them, do the head cradle (with elbows forward, while grabbing the back of my head), etc....isn't that dumb? It passes fairly quickly, but ugh! It hurts!!!

RIU completed earlier this morning! I'm gonna use 5lb weights starting tomorrow morning, instead of the 3 lbs, they're not a challenge anymore. My shoulder is almost back to normal, so I think I will gradually start on the push-ups again as well, just a bit at a time. I can afford to injure my shoulder again. Still waiting for the BIU dvd, maybe this afternoon? I hope!

I am comntemplating getting the 8lb weights too. Right now I use 5lb for everythign except for the bicep curls, then I use 2-5lb(10lb). I am trying to decide whether to go ahead and get the 10lb weights(holding two 5lb weights is kinda a pain, my hand starts to cramp) or just get the 8lb ones.... anyone have any thoughts?
I still have to alternate the asscrampers... I just can't get thru them all at once!
And I must be diong the standing obliques wrong or something, because I don't feel much of a workout at all... But I have tried to watch my form and stuff, but nothing seems to make it hurt... HAHA- I want it to hurt!!! BUT the S&6pk definitely gets me!
Oh, and one more thing- I have NO alance most of the time much less int he morning!!! I can't make it through one set of kicks! Ever! without almost toppeling over!!!! LOL

Grrr! My husband turned off the alarm clock this morning without waking me and so I couldn't get in my Burn it up. LOL, I told him that he was gonna have to make his own dinner tonite seeing as how I was gonna be busy excercising during that time. I bet he won't turn off the alarm again, I'm so mean.

I am gonna do BiU as soon as I get home, also I'm gonna do 6 pack, I want to see those abs! I'll be working out tomorrow morning though, see ya guys at 4:30, this time for real.

You guys rock with your 8 pound weights, I use 4 pounders for my biceps and 3 pounders for everything else, I think I need to go ahead and move to four for all of them though.

Brook - my left butt cheek is stronger too, lol. I hope it's not noticable, I can get through the second set much easier then the first set for some reason. Of course the leg that is on the floor is still cramping but it helps if I come up on my hands for a while.

Cruisergal - take it easy with the pushups, you definatly don't want to get injured again. I have carpel tunnel syndrome and can not hold my hands in that position, I bought some push up grips to help out with this but they get unbalanced sometimes so I am afraid they are not sturdy and I'll fall on my face. I try to do as much as I can but I'm careful to pay attention to my hands, if there is any soreness or pain I have to stop immediatly. I hope no one minds that I am doing this.

I can't make mine hurt either. Does anyone understand what we are supposed to be feeling? The side that is being smushed or the side that is being stretched?

I'm not going to get to workout today after all, I just realized I only have 7 days to write 4 three page essays, prepare for 2 exams, and write a 20 page paper. I am stressed! I got a lot done today but still have a lot more to go. I hope to wake up early tomorrow to fit it in, if I can't manage it I may have to step away from the challenge for 7 days until I finishe the semester.

Man that really stinks, I was doing so great too, oh well, I'm almost finished with school.

Side crunches should be an oblique crunch. If you make sure your knee is pointing at a 90 degree angle to you (towards the wall or whatever) and your toes are turned out, crunch down into those obliques ..like pinches your rib cage to your hip bone. I find it more effective if I make sure my elbow goes to the outside of my leg vs right above it.

Yoly - yikes! Hope you get the papers all done!!

Yoly: Whew! I remember going to school and the stress during this time. Fit in whatever you can in-between all of your paperwork. I do not envy you. Oh, the memories! Oh, I'm so glad its over.

Brook: Thanks for the explanation for the ob. crunches. Next job: How about the ones where you are standing, crunching opposite knee to opposite elbow? Ramp It Up style.
