      not another word from me..........skinnygirl.

      my back really isn't much better. just feels like a big ol' knot. i felt fine when i went to bed but i was rolling all over the place last night and woke up in a weird postition. i figured that's what did it.
      i may have to lay off of some of the exercise for a day. maybe do some stretching with the ball instead and see if i can work this knot out.

        hang on your ball like yo were in the original pic to give it a good stretch and see if that helps you.

        I hate when i get a kink in my back and it only hurts when you move a certain way.

          oh yeah the i'm-dead-on-the-ball pic! the video that came with the ball has some strethching parts and i think i'll pop that in and do that. i have a heating pad on right now. i have phone calls to make and afterwards i think i can get the last of the stuff packed. the movement might do me better than the heating pad.

          my weight this morning was 128. my gosh, 2big, that's 5 pounds over what my body was being comfortable at. i held steady at 123 for a good bit. is this increase just because of the exercise increase? i know the scale is only a minimal part of this but i ain't liking the 128 at all! i feel like i'm a fake with the goalie award, now.

            every time you up the exercise the fluids in the muscle go up. Brook knew her 5 pounds were from the video changes and she would post yep I'm up 5 pounds and I know it is from the new exercise and will go away. some times she would add a but i sitll don't like it.

            Are you pants still fitting? if so you know it is fluid in your muscles and will go wneh they leasrn packing and moving and ball exercises and biking and stuff are normal loads for them.

              it just seems like alot of weight. and as a matter of fact, my 4's were fine...until today. i can get them up and zipped but they don't fit like they did. i am so upset by that. wednesday they were fine. my tummy is pooched out a bit and i am not happy with that. my back just seems to get worse as the day goes on. maybe giving my muscles a break for a day or two will get me back down to a reasonable number and more importantly, a better feeling about things.

                  thanks, sal. last night, after getting up at least a dozen times in 4 hours, after laying in a hot tub or 1/2 hour, after going to the store for some doans backache tablets, after downing almost 64 oz. of cranberry juice, after playing several games of computer solitaire, after watching the clock tick past 5:30 am, i was finally able to get some sleep.

                  as i lay in the tub i thought, what if this isn't entirely a knotted muscle? my body has been holding on to water, i am sure, and what if this is kidney related, hence the cranberry juice. i figured my weight was already up so hang the carb count, i had to get some fluids flowing. i do feel somewhat better today but not ready to tackle any pushups or crunches.

                  i am glad you are steady on with things. i can always come in here and see you getting it done for the day! good on ya, sal!

                    After such a rotten night, I'd be loathe to exercise too! Btw...what does cranberry juice do for you? Is it a natural diuretic?

                    Problems always seem bigger in the middle of the night, don't you think? I'm sure your kidneys are just fine. Rest up a little Jimmie...tomorrow is another day!

                    I danced a few cals off this morning (did the intermediate routine today) and walked the dogs up the hill to heaven. Sun shining...air like champagne!

                      hey sal, cranberries clean out the kidneys. now 2big will have some scientific wording that we won't understand cause her brain leaks out info , you know but cranberries are very good for you. when they are in season, i'll cook them down and sweetend them with splenda. the juiece was the next best thing and it worked wonderful. my back yesterday was 99% better. not a sprain strain after all, i do believe i had an infection starting.

                        LOL I I have been trying very hard to not leat too much hard to understand science. Cranberries do several things
                        they are contain tannins that keep bacteria from sticking to bladdar walls, help prevent the ulcer bacteria from taking hold in your tummy and plaque in your mouth.

                        they are also diuretics because of an acid they contain.

                        they are antioxidants

                        they have chems similar to the ones in grapes that protect hearts

                        they have vit C

                        and of course they are low carb

                          see, justright, your info was just right. hardly any scientific leaking there at all! i use to hate cranberries! hated them hated them! but now i miss them when they aren't in season.

                          i got a bunch of stuff done today. ball squats, pushups, crunches, stretching, biking, leg lifts and some arm work with the weights.

                            Tks Jimmie for the interesting cranberry link, and 2big for the interesting info. Never knew there was so much power packed in a cranberry! Pity we don't often see them here in Italy. Seems to be a berry you Americans eat more than we do.

                            All up to date with my exercise/walking... reached target on the abs challenge this morning, at least five days before leaving on trip. Getting tickets today, I hope.

                              good for you sal! i am a bit concerned i won't reach my goals because of the move. i should have done like you and made sure i got done or really close before everything hit the fan. have a great time on your vacation!!!!

                              my goodness! sal, your leaving, sadie is on her vacation, i'm moving.....justright, you'll have this place all to yourself!!!!!

                              cranberries are a huge hit at thanksgiving and christmas. cranberry salad and molds and breads and jellies and mixed fruits..........about any way you can fix it. we don't get them fresh till the fall months. they are sold in bags of one pound or so. other times of the year we can buy them canned but they are jellied up with lots of sugar and get pretty high in carbs that way. then of course the juice which is available year round. it's blended with other juices like grape and apple or you can get it plain.

                              i don't know what i'll get done today. lets say crunches, push ups and biking for the challenges. my computer will most likely be undone so i won't be able to check back in.

                                about the cranberries you can freeze the bags and have them yr round like I do or you can dry then and have sugar free crasins ( think rasins made from cranberries)

                                I did my HIIT and my ball stuff.
