    my goodness, nobody's checked in here for a few days.

    everyone okay?

    i have been busy with things here at the house and trying to get caught up with some things here on the board. i am keeping up with my ball push up challenge and lagging just a bit in the ab/crunches but i think i can get 1000 in by the end of the month.

    i haven't had time to work on the stair challenge. i will try to get it together this week.

      oh i had to tell ya! i got on the ball tonight, literally!
      i am in a better mood than i have been in months, but then, that's not a flying leap into space.

      i got about an hours worth of stuff in tonight.

      50 x 2 leg lifts
      10 minutes of stretching
      105 ball crunches
      48 ball pushups
      bike: 21 minutes, 210 calories, 3.5 miles
      50 ball squats

        Yep... still around...but oh soooo busy! Off for a couple of nights today, so tomorrow will be another 'rest' day from the ol' exercise/walk routine. Been hard at it these days though, and have been alternating a dance routine instead of the exercise workout. Gets the old heart pumping!

        Glad to hear you're feeling more chirpy Jimmie! Spring is here and everything's ready to flower....!

          we are all going to hit and miss in here, i think, now that spring has sprung and all that jazz. lets just try to check in once in awhile though so we can pat each other on the back, k?

            Yeah...guess, at least for me, checking in might be a bit hit and miss... now is the busiest time of year for us, what with preparing houses for the summer and hopping here there and everywhere. But too right Jimmie, those pats on the backs are all important to all of us! Not planning on disappearing.

            My dance/exercise routine is from a Rosemary Conley video. Sort of Latin. Not too heavy on the joints, but still works up quite a sweat. Fun... at least until it gets boring!

              very cool on the dancing! there are so many different ways to get exercise in. and some of it can be fun....till it starts getting boring and HURTING! lol

                hey guys I missed y'all

                man I missed the latin dancing session. RATS

                I 've missed my ball time but I do get my treadmill time and my 3 hours off to go to the gym. I had to give up mowing cause i couldn't get Mother to stay in and behave while I was doing it. you don't know how much that hurts to pay somebody toi get my free exercise grrrrrrrrrrrr.

                  i didn't report in here last night for anything. i did some pushups and achieved my goal for that challenge. i did ball crunches and rode the bike, also, did some ball squats.

                    i am so totally missing sadie. do we know where she is? did i forget or miss a post?
                    she has been absent in both the journals and she was being very faithful to her stats journal.

                    i have the pledging flights challenge posted. it is a sticky in the exercise challenges forum. i don't expect each and every one to continue to log progress but it's there for people to see and use. i'm starting on my flights today, and, seeing it is 3:15 am, i have already been downstairs and back up them once already. can't sleep. i've been awake since 1 am. i hate this very much.

                      justright, is there anything in the president challenge that stair climbing can fit under? i looked at the list and i don't see anything about stairs at all. although i do see a few things that are just above the level of actual breathing. lol

                      maybe we (you) could ask those folks to add stair climbing to the list since there are challenges out there for that. would that be possible? if not, what would you place it under?

                        okay, now that i am talking to myself..........
                        110 crunches
                        some stretching
                        30 ball pushups
                        60 ball squats
                        50 leg lifts, each
                        bike: 20 minutes, 192 calories, 3.2 miles

                        i finally broke into the 40,000 range for the silver! yippee!!!

                          I saw your challenge at the top of the forum.

                          I have been working out well this morning on the treadmill. I wanted to pretend I was invisible and keep going but reality called and that special pair of pjs had to be washed just right exactly then! I did get an hour in the garden pulling weeds as she supervised me from her chair cause it was too hot 78 and she was tired.


                          I keep asking them for stuff for us Jimmie Jo and they keep saying we will talk to the programers sorry. Let see stairs is climbing unless youare counting both up and down. I know the stairmaster and or elipticals are cardio machines so you could count it as that or as calastenics however you speel that.

                            Hi Jimmie and 2big... nice to read all your posts. Seems like everyone's still on the trot, even if at times 'reality' intervenes some. Maybe, 2big you should count pyjama washing... all that rubbing, rinsing and wringing! Unless of course, you machine was 'em...though the way we're all getting so technology orientated these days, soon we'll be counting pushing buttons as exercise! Man in a few generations = just a brain and one overdeveloped finger! But we'd still need to exercise it!

                            Saw your sticky Jimmie, on the stair climbing challenge. Very cool. Looking forward to joining that, as soon as I settle down some. Soooo many things I want to do... the stairs, the ball challenge, more exercise videos... gotta work on not procrastinating, it seems.

                            Still exercising, dancing and walking every day over here...but all a bit rushed. Still... the dogs don't let me off, and some things I just make time for.

                              pulling weeds can be some great arm work! i use to have to that and by golly some of those weeds were tough! they didn't want to be pulled! lol
                              you're a good peep to be taking care of your mom, justright.

                              thanks for asking the pres. people about things. i can't spell that word either unless i am straight on looking at it. i guess i will count it in that group since you think that would be a good spot. i am counting only the up motion for the challenge. that is how i understand it to work. i suspect if i get in my goal every day i could add another 10 minutes to the exercise that we don't know how to spell. lol

                                good to see the post, sal! that was funny about the finger! lol i can't hardly believe what cell phones are capable of doing now. pretty soon it will be washing the pj's and 2big won't have to do them anymore at all!

                                it will be great about the stair challenge, i think. you can join at any time, like the presidential challenge and set goals different than anybody else. i set my goal per day at 20 but i didn't quite get that yesterday. guess that's why it's a goal. i am looking forward to climbing each of the things. i even found a pic of the slieve donard that i am climbing. this will turn out to be a geography lesson, too!
