    Glad to see everyone's still at the old exercise!

    Had a wonderful walk exploring the island today...found some beautiful spots... and burned a few cals too!

      Sally i agree that website is great! I didn't have any idea how far i was running, i was considering turning on the trip metre in my car and driving the route so i could figure out the km's LOL


      Today I did 20 mins pilates, and chest and shoulders at the gym. Only did a 1.5 mile run today, I'm feeling a little burned out and didn't wanna push it. The weather is perfect for running though! 15deg c and sunny!

      My abs are killing me from the pilates, my arms from the weights and my legs from the running, it's a wonder i can type!

        justright, you did well holding down the fort!
        sadiejen, i have the same problem on vacation....can't seem to keep up with things.
        sally, congrats on meeting and exceeding the ab challenge!


        i didn't do much in the way of exercise during all of this chaos. i can tell you that i walked up and down the stairs here at least 70 times on the day of the actual move. my legs and butt and arms were soooo sore the following day.
        i am ready to get back into the swing of things. i joined the ab challenge again and started a ball pushup challenge, both for april. i don't know if the "any exercise equipment" challenge will be going or not. i do plan on biking though. i need to get busy and earn that silver award.

        my weight is no better no worse. still hovering now at 126 to 128 depending on how late i eat. i still am under a boatload of stress. i would love to see 5 pounds disappear. i just have to keep on this and see where i end up.

        it's good to be back!

          oh my i feel all along in here..........

          today i got back into the exercise motion and did:
          30 ball pushups
          40 ball squats
          50 crunches
          60, both arm, 6.6 weights
          50, both legs, leg lifts
          15 1/2 minutes on the bike, 2.5 miles burning 147 calories

          it feels good just to be able to log something!

            Hi guys sorry computer time has been very limited with Mother not cooperating right now.

            I've been doing my treamilling whikle she sleeps and my exercise ball stuff while she gets dressed and taking a mental health break in the gym so my exercise isn't sufferring. now that spring is here and her flowers are blooming and sprouting I'm sure I will get even more workout gardening her over run jungle of plants. Happy low carbing.

                i got in 50 crunches
                25 ball squats
                27 ball pushups
                biked for 2.3 miles, 15 minutes burning 140 calories.

                plus the stair climbing as always. i was seriously thinking i should start a challenge for stair climbing!

                  Welcome back Jimmie!

                  I'm also back from my working vacation. Was wonderful...not too much work and lots of vacation. Got in my exercise most days too, so am feeling virtuous. Also, while hub was overhauling his boat, I explored the island on foot. Lovely!

                  On the downside, Sicilian food tempts one to overeat a bit...but, I managed to avoid the cannoli yet again, s as for eating a little too much... well, what the ****! It was a vacation! Time to cut back a little now.

                  Oh wow Jimmie... a staircase challenge! I'd chip in with at least eight flights a day... and 2big could start a gardening challenge too!

                    welcom back sal!
                    now are you pulling my leg or do you think a stair challenge would go over? we have challenges for everything else. maybe somebody who isn't doing anything at all but has to climb stairs at their work or house would get in the mood to use it as actual exercise.

                    should i start this?
                    oh, the gardening thing may work! i could use that!

                        Stairclimbing challenge..what a great idea, i'd be in! I actually just started using the stairmaster at the gym, what a great workout it is!


                        I've been really good the past 2 weeks. Running Mon-Friday at least 1.5 miles a day. Been going to the gym tues - friday, doing weights and stairmaster. Also been doing my pilates 20 mins a day - even talked hubby into trying a couple of pilates exercises along with crunches (he's convinced i shrunk his jeans, he's having a hard time doing them up LOL). today's my first slackoff day, I have a meeting that will keep my from the gym today (i have a non prime hours membership so i can't go after 5). but that's ok..i'll go back tomorrow.

                          Yep Jimmie... I'm with Sadie: I think your staircase challenge is a great idea! I mean, most of us climb stairs every day, so why not? Bet you'd get a whole host of takers!

                          Did 50 mins of Rosemary Conley's dance video instead of the usual exercise. Phew! Then took the doggies out for forty mins as usual.

                              and since I'm leading the way for wannabe to aim for upping my post count one more.

                              I've been doing the gym and treadmilling doing my ball pushups but haven't been getting my free sitting on the ball exercise situps since Mother has been acting up the last 2 weeks.

                                you guys are a great encouragement to me. thank you! i'll start a challenge. give me some ideas on how it should be "run", please. i have thought i would put 20 pennies or pieces of paper or something at the bottom of the steps and each time i came up i would grab one and deposit it at the top. if i find i am under shooting i'll add some pennies to the grab pile. any other ideas?

                                i got on the ball literally today. it is really hard to get into a routine. jack is not working so he is here laying carpet and other things. i need some normal boring days in a bad bad way.

                                i did some stretching, ball squats, biking, crunches, ball push ups, ball squats and leg lifts. i lacked 1 lousy point to reach 39,000 on the presidential award.

                                okay, give me some pointers on the stair challenge and i'll get that going!
