I'm so excited I can't sleep I'm heading back to the gym tomorrow for the first time since May 25th. Mom is going to an adult day care program for a couple hours and I'm getting to play with the weights again

wow that's great news 2big!!!
I have to travel to the office all week this week, but starting monday I'm going back to my gym too! it's pay as you go, and cheaper before 4 p.m. so no point starting this week, i'll never make it.
today, i did a 30mins walk/run with the dog. I may do some crunches too before bed.
hello my goalie buds! thank you, sadiejen, for starting this in my absence and for sending me the link.
i have done the 6 week challenge about 5 times, counting the current one. it seems to me everytime i didn't join, i slacked off the exercise. it is another way to keep me motivated.
i really like using my stationary bike so i will continue to use it. i also do leg work which consists of different exercises for my legs and butt. arm work consists of using the dumbells i have (6.6 #'s and 11 #'s). i do different kinds of lifting with those. these areas (butt, legs, arms) is where i am seeing the most reduction these days.
i have committed to 3 days a week for the challenge.
i did 3.4 miles today on the bike. i think i need to set a goal for the miles or calories. not sure what i will do at this point, when i figure it out, i'll let you know.
where is bikergoddess? does she know of the thread? i think i will let her and higgies know where we are.

That's terrific 2big! Both that you got to the gym and that you got a chance to step away from your heavy responsibilities... we all need that every so often.
Ok. Both Mon and Tues did my exercise workout and dog walk. Managed a full forty mins of both, both days.
This morning's workout in front of the TV was watching a programme called "Slimming Club" where they followed lots of dieters struggling to lose the pounds. The person who had the most success was the girl on a low carb diet. Surprise surprise! Anyway... at least Slimming Club felt better than the other day's cookery programme with cakes and all!!

Great job getting the exercise going. I forced myself to the gym this morning. I've definitely cut back on my exercise since I've hit goal. I'm only going 3-4 days a week instead of the 5-6 I used to do. It's getting harder to find time even for that, but I'm making it a priority. Sounds like you guys are all in the right direction....of course you are...you wouldn't have hit goal without it. Leep up the good work!
BTW, great work Sally! You look magnificent!

good to see you in here higgies!
you are doing what perry does now. 3 or 4 times a week and maintaining. i suppose that is what i am doing too, come to think of it. i guess to stay at 120 i need to do 4 or 5 days like the early challenges.
i have done nothing in the way of exercise today. we hate at 7 tonight. i got sidetracked at the church building. i suppose i could get off here and do 15 minutes on the bike.
-----------
good for you 2big! i never think of you as having any problems with any of this.

I went a bit overboard playing with the machines trying to see what i could lift and how much I had lost and not wanting it to be any. and of course i just had to do all the reps and not just go 120 pounds once okay now how about 130?
i went ahead and rode my bike for 15 minutes. it isn't much but it beats nothing. not much everyday is always better than nothing everyday, right? i got my challenge done for the week with days to spare. that is a relief!

sadiejen? are you around? how goes it with you?
betty? how bout you?
sally? anything done today?

Hi everyone. Looks like for the most part you're all going great guns! Terrific! And thanks Higgies for the comp!
Wed and Thurs did my stuff. Today's walk was up an oh-so-steep hill, where only tractors dare (and even they have trouble with that seemingly vertical slope)! Boy was I puffed at the top! Nice to go downhill all the way back though...
