    DO them on Cardio days Girl that way you are still doing your resistance training which we want for muscles or do them on Leg day I heard they are BRUTAL.

      Yeah. I heard that too! I want some results so I am upping the workout intensity! Curves is good for day when I need to just get movin' but I want to really feel it. I am kinda maxed out at Curves ... It has gotten kinda easy so I am going to try this. I will probably still do Curves on my long week at work until my prepaid membership expires b/c I don't think I will have enough energy (you know my sleep schedule!) on my 72 hour week.

      Also, my mom and my best friend are going to do it with me. We are gonna rotate the tapes after we get started.

        OK I think I wanna join in...LOL I have been doing some lifting with DH at the YMCA. weight assited chin up and dips, over the head triceps with a dumbell and flys on a weight pulley type machine and lat pull downs. I also do some situps and back ups on thing where you dip you head down and then lift up works lower back, and leg press, rotary calf press...anyway I am going to try to see what I can make for a routine...I need something that I can fit in and that doesn't take too much time. I am currently doing cardio running 3-4 times a week...this is a real huffing puffing experience, the other day a lady in the fitness center was concerned for me and asked me if I was ok about halfway through...LOL

          Can I lift any on days I do cardio? Or can I do any cardio on days that I also lift? I have be working out at work just cardio but they have a small weight room with nice weights, I could post pics so you can tell be what they are..lol
          I really want to run because I am working up my endarance
          ...what about when I go to YMCA with DH can I run for 10-15 mins then lift?

          If not I guess I will cardio at work and lift at YMCA on days off. Bad thing sometimes I work 2 days in a row off 2, then sometimes 1 on 1 off ya know so ...like this week I worked Monday ran 25 mins, tuesday off went to gym only ran 10 mins..ate to close tummy didn't like it..then lifted with DH total time at gym 50 mins , worked today ran 25 mins, off thursday will go to YMCA, off Friday was going to have lunch with sister so if I workout it will have to be early, work Saterday and Sunday and Monday...I can't go to YMCA on workdays I get home at about 8-830pm after working 12+ hours

          On most workdays I can go to fitness center for about 25-30 mins I get 45 total but with rinsing off and getting down there and back to work and scarfing my tuna I can only workout for 25-30.

          So tell me what to do...Oh Sarah wise one mold me..LOL just kidding

            Oh ya do you think it would benefit me to get some dumbells or a weight bench for home...money's a little tight but I thought I'd look in the papers.

            The only reason we belong to the YMCA is because they have some childcare and its something to do as a family and better than going out to eat..LOL

              Becca I got my weight bar, 2 dumbell handsets and 100 pounds of weights that interchange easily on all of the above for about $65.

              Your schedule sounds alot like mine - crazy!

              I am no Sarah but I think the cardio/running/whatever is okay on the days you lift. I think you just don't want to target the specific muscles that you just worked when you lifted. Seems like Jas and Sarah usually run or do a machine on the same day they lift. Probably start out at a level where you are comfortable and slowly increase to make sure you aren't piling on too much at once.

              I am just starting the lifting that Sarah has set out for me so I am concentrating more on form than weight. I have been doing Curves and the forms on the same days unless I start to feel sore. Then I do some generic cardio like jogging since Curves incorporates resistance machines with the cardio.

              I am positive that Sarah will give you more specifics! She rocks. I don't want to lead you astray so I will shut up until she checks back in...So glad to have you around!

                Good morning girls! Welcome Becca! I've been a slacker on my exercise this week, and on posting.

                BUT don't everyone fret...I'm getting off my butt and doing it:
                This morning Upper Body:
                Dumbell lifts: 12 lbs
                Hammer Curls: 12 lbs
                Bent over rows: 12 lbs
                Dumbell press 12 lbs

                I thought my arms were better, but those measly 12 lbs just about did me in. On the 8th rep, my muscles started to fail. Sarah got on my case the other night about supplements, so I'm trying to get those in too.

                I'm down another pound or so...see what exercise does? Everyone keep telling me that. I had a headache when I woke up (hate that), but I knew I'd be letting everyone here (and myself) down if I didnt do it. To be perfectly honest, the motivation wasn't for myself this morning, it was for you guys. But, hey, motivation is motivation right?

                I've still been eating on plan even though the exercise is what's slacking.

                Cypress--I have the slim in six videos too. Just the stupid warm up kicks my butt, but it is good exercise. Maybe I'll do them once a week or something for cardio, so we can whine together about it. They'll really help on the arms and leg strength with the weight training...although I think I got quicker results with the weights. Maybe doing both would help...might give it a try.

                  A 10-15 minute cardio warmup is good if you need to do that we alternate days becuase the scedual is fairley easy but the plan can totally be made Just for you. If you need weights and a Bench at home go to the Walmart and Buy a Ball it works great as a bench for flies and bench press and stuff and you can utilize it for legs and abs as well. I must say the ball is the best investment I have made it cheap but it also does a ton of things. SO if you know your Schedual I can work it out for you what to do on what days. I also do cardio on weight days so there is no worried if you plan on doing a long cardio session don't do it before weights or your body doesn't have enough energy for it. 15-20 before you lift is a great warmup.

                    I am having a fab day isn't it funny how a whooshie can make you feel so good. I am down 2.5 pounds 181.5 WOOHOO all the hard work is paying of YAY ME!!!
