    3 miles on the treadmill tonight. Last run before Sundays 10k.

    Total distance to date this year - 47 miles

    17 miles in training
    20 miles in the treadmill
    10 miles racing

    It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!




    I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

      10k road race this morning (for the purpose of my log I will round it down to 6 miles, 10k is actually 6.2 miles), wind and rain didnt make it very pleasant, and nor did not having vaselline on my nipples. I now have a horrible blood stain on my t-shirt.

      One good thing came of it though. Knocked 40 ish seconds from my pb over 10k.

          The Hogweed Hilly Half (half marathon) this morning, a nightmare of a run, very hilly - as if the title didnt give it away. Had problems with my feet, pulled up after 5 miles with a funny blister on the base of big toe on my left foot. Wrapped a tissue around my toe and hobbled on, then ran / walked the further 8 miles. Finished in a not very good time of 2:27:15. Could have been so much better, but there you go.

          Total distance to date this year - 68 miles

          17 miles in training (outdoor)
          22 miles on the treadmill
          29 miles racing

                5.5 mile run today, running back to my parents house after cricket practice. Quite a slow time, 56 minutes.

                  Bath half marathon in a time of 2:04:45 a new pb for me, finishing 5164 ish out of a field of over 8000

                    Just 1 measley mile on treadmill last night, calf muscles felt a little tight after Sunday.

                      Another half marathon yesterday. Taking me past the 100 mile for the year mark. DIdnt find it very easy, probably because I did a halfer last weekend also. 4 minutes slower than last week in 02:08:15 but atleast I finished.

                        I did something different last night. Me and a friend did some speed training. 10 minute gentle jog for warm up. then 1/4 a mile running quicker than normal racing pace, followed by 1/4 mile walk. then 1/4 mile speed again. then 1/4 mile walk. Did 4 miles in total and was interesting to add a different angle to my training.

                            5 mile race on Sunday 15th April, 47:09. This was the one year anniversary for my first race over 5k. Problems with blister on my right ankle where my ankle was rubbing against the back of the shoe due to my foot being raised due to my new insoles! My how I long for pain free running again, I am sure it will be back to normal soon.

                              Monday night brief 3 miler testing out my blistered feet prior to my 4th halfer of the year this coming sunday. Feet held up well. New pb over 5k - 27:22
