Re: Looking for C25K buddy?
OHR D2W2 (Slow and steady)
Another hot day. Although I got up early (well relatively early) to run it was already getting hot. I was a bit skeptical today as I came down with Vertigo this week and having a bit of problems with things starting to swirl but the run went fine. The Vertigo seems to set in when I bend down - especially if I try a crunch so those are out. But the run went fine - absolutely no dizzy spell. I just wish more people would have had sprinklers on.
How is your ankle qou? Feeling any better.
Mitzi way to beat that guy. WOOT WOOT
I could not even catch up with the lady walking her dog today. But I held my head high and my elbows bent. Because I can run 5K!
Been looking at some books on running lately. I am brainy - need theory with everything.
Anyways, a lot of these people recommend training with two (or three) shorter run and one long run every week. Long run has to be followed by a rest (recovery) day. So this is what this OHR is building up to as well. So that is good.

He'd lap me a few times, then have to walk more laps than he ran. He did that few more times, too, before he left the track. Meanwhile, I had already been running when he got there, and was still running when he left, with NO walking.

Tomorrow is my next run, and but I also work in the morning... which means that I either have to run at 6:45am in the neighborhood, or drive to the track after I get off at noon. Even though it takes an extra hour out of my day and $5.00 in gas for each run that I do at the track, I still think I'm opting for the track tomorrow. I wish there was something closer!

I can't believe that there's something out there that taxes me every bit as much, if not more, than running. I really like the class and would do it more often, if it was taught at more times. I'm at work during a lot of the class times. Also, get this - the instuctor will be delivering her first baby in 10 weeks.
And she kicks A$$ in class!
