Re: Looking for C25K buddy?
Yay! Finally got a run in. It was great.
I've been running 3 miles, which is 21 laps at my track. Upon finishing the 21 laps in 34 minutes, 40 seconds today, I decided that I would up my distance a little. So I added 2 more laps.
I'm not sure that I'm going to continue increasing distance very much, though. Liv, you said that you think that your strength is distance. And Quo's training for a marathon! I'm still thinking on my strategy... but right now, I'm thinking that in a couple of weeks I'm going to start working some speed intervals into the 3 miles that I run. I think I may be leaning towards faster speed rather than longer distance.
Paul, congrats on getting that first day under your belt.
I agree with Quo and Liv - the right shoes have been a miracle for me. And remember, there's no shame in repeating a week if you need to... C25K is great because you go at your own pace, which enables you to build up your strength and bones. It really works!

I am not sure what happened.

Hey, congrats on fitting into a size 8! Exercise really does make a difference, and this is a perfect illustration of how the number on the scale does NOT tell the whole story. Yay, you!
