      • Khiliah - Definatly praying for your family and your loss. So sorry to hear for your loss.

        iyamamaschke - sorry to hear about your ankle, but one thing that sticks out about your posts are that you are "addicted" to run. Think about it, a year ago would you be feeling this way. It is amazing and something that you should be really proud of, you have gotten so into doing the right things for yourself that you actually feel bad when you can't do it. That is great! I use weights pretty much every night, I have 3 pound ones and do all kinds of arm, chest, and shoulder reps. After that I get on the floor and do crunches, leg lifts, leg scissors, and for a special treat dogs. I'm not sure if you can handle all that with your hurt ankle and I'm also not sure if it is cardiovascular but I know I'm sweating and hurting by the time I'm finished. Hope this helped.         • Hey thanks a lot I was actually thinking the same thing if I do the weights quickly with no breaks I should get my heart rate up pretty well. Should do the trick for a few days any how.

            Sarah, Pushs are great, one legged squats, Dips, can you do any cycling of any sort? Theres wrestling! Tell your husband to get ahold of you on the floor and wrestle with him, try to over power him and pin him, Its a full body workout. Punching, If you don't have a bag, take an old mattress and roll it up with duct tape around a 2x4 and slam that sucker.


            Trench crawling, lay on your belly and pull yourself with only your forearms.

            Any workouts using weights will work if you are doing tons of reps. I mean tons. Not to much resistance, but enough to feel a good burn after 30 reps.

              I hope I get a whooshie or something soon. This month has been slow going for me and I am getting frustrated! I know I should be happy that I'm at least losing, but my wedding is April 24th and I really want to be close to goal weight! Oh well, I just need to keep moving forward I suppose!

              you and I are same startinh weight! When did you start? How tall are you? I started 4 weeks, 1 day ago and I am definitely down 20 lbs and a few inches here and there. The scale said 240 this morning briefly, but the a cloud mus have passed or something b/c i wacthed the scale go up 2 lbs. So frustrating. I have been at 242 for almost a week and a half now.

              Anyways, I have been a huge gym slacker but decided it would be easier for me to go in the AMs instead of after long days at the hospital, so I'll start that routine tomorrow.

              Pray for me...I have never been a morning person!

              Looking forward to weighing in officially Sat!

              • Way to go everyone you are all doing so great. I did my weights tonight and some ball exercises. Ankle is too sore for the bike doesn't wanna pedal and the knee I feel on is really sore to put pressure on . I did it thoug Back and Biceps then I did 100 ball crunches and 100 leg ball presses. OOOH my legs will be sore tomorrow.

                  I started May 1 this year (about 8 weeks ago) and am around 5'2. Congrats on losing 20 pounds!!! I've only lost about 15 pounds in twice the time! Though I think I didn't lose a lot at the beginning because I had been exercising often before starting atkins (I think I didn't have much water weight)... Anyway, a 20 pound loss in one month is fantastic! I have been grappling with 246 for the past week or two. It will say 246 then the next day 247 and back and forth. Arghhhh! I want to see 245!!

                  Goodluck with your new exercise routine. I'm sure you will stick to it!!

                  • Time for my weekly check in. Unfortunately I only regularly get to use the internet on a wednesday/thursday, and because my weigh in is on a friday, you guys get to hear about it a week late and just before the next one, so at the moment my results are a little delayed. Good news from last friday though, I lost another pound making it 30 lbs now. I'm very happy and hope this friday brings more loss.

                    To everyone, keep up all your hard work, it sounds like you're all doing fantastically well even if there are struggles of some sort along the way. Have a happy low carb week x

                      Holly, that sucks that we only get to hear from you once a week, but I guess it makes us miss you more :yes


                      Well Tommorow night I am leaving for a 4 day weekend trip to a lake house at my ex-girlfriends Aunt and Uncles house. I am not even sure I want to even go since I am going to have to pack so much food to tide me over in the mean time. Its going to suck. I don't know what to do. I will probally end up doing what I always do which is not eat a whole lot.

                      I am hoping to get over this weekend so I can get back in my stride. I know I will get alot of exercise though, Theres so much beauty there and miles of roads around the lake.

                      anywho take care, How is everyone else doing!?

                      • I tried to exercise really hard today. I did 30 minutes of upper body strength on the xbox game, walked the dog,, and did 2.0 miles on the treadmill (1 mile while using hand weights, and the other mile while on an incline). I am kind of proud of myself! Hopefully it will help make a difference.

                        I hope everyone else is doing great!

                          Thanks Fighting, I definately miss the support of the board when I can't get on the internet and certainly my new team mates. Hopefully I'll sort that out once I've got this job promotion and you'll see me around a bit more. You'll have an amazing time on your mini break, just make wise food choices and see as much of the countryside as possible while you're there.

                          I wanted to tell you all that I joined a new exercise class last night. Went to Body Combat which is a mixture of martial arts, choreographed into a routine to music. It was so much fun but hard work. It was an hour long session and I was determined to make it to the end. I made it, although looked very red in the face by that point but know it was all worth while and hopefully it will pay dividends tomorrow at my weigh in.

                          Have a great weekend guys and I'll look forward to seeing everyone's progress next week, bye for now x

                              • I'm not doing too well. I've gone to the nuts and seeds rung and added the 5 carbs. My husbands bought me several different kinds of nuts so I've sampled them all :nono I've also put on 2 lbs. I don't know if it's the nuts, the 5 carbs, or trying more than 1 type of nuts. Ya'll help me. :help
