The tapes are called Walking Away the Pounds. I haven't gotten them yet so can't personally say how they work. But I hear from a lot of people here that they are amazing. There is a 1 mile walk, then 2, 3, and so forth. I'm home in the summer and don't have a gym membership so I need stuff to do at home. I am looking for a cardio workout and I've heard wonderful things about these so I picked them up.Originally posted by punkin50Yoly1001:What are the WATP tapes? I saw them at Walmart for about $20 bucks for a set of 2 DVD's, or you could always get them on Amazon.com.
I'll let you know how they work once they get here.

Good job resisting the cake!! And woohoo for summer vacation! :icondanceOriginally posted by yankeeToday was my last day of school - the kids were out last Friday but staff has a day or two beyond. Anyway, it was party time. I haven't seen so much carb-loaded food in one place in a long time. Or maybe it was just that I never cared that it was all carb-loaded! I'd brought my own lunch, thank goodness, and only supplemented it with a half dozen strawberries. Had to put the blinders on when it came to all that cake!!!! I am now finishing off my last bottle of water for the day and will go to bed thankful for the support of all of you that got me through today...............

Scales are evil!!! But adding exercise is always a good thing! I'm sure it will be just the thing to push you into onderland., I know you'll have great success with the WATP tapes, let us know how you like them! :icondanceOriginally posted by Yoly1001I have been frustrated with the scale, at first I was losing steadily but it seems to have slowed down to a snales pace. I might lose a pound every other week. Originally I had been really into working out, I got hurt and lost my motivation. Well this morning I decided that the reason I am not losing is because I am not moving! So this morning I decided enough is enough. I am so motivated and encouraged by all you guys who are working so very hard.
I did everything exactly right today, definatly by the book. I did the cross-trainer for 30 minutes, weights, I drank all my water, ate all the right foods, and right now am about to go take my supplements. I have been sitting in between 200 and 201 and I am **** bent and determined to get to Onederland by the end of this week.
Oh, and I got the WATP tapes coming in the mail, they should be here by the end of the week so that should really help too!
Well congrats everyone on their weight loss and keep up the good work, I'm off to bed...goodnight.

I, thinthing swear to be faithful to the Atkins Way of Life in order to become healthier and look and feel better about myself. Whether facing fluctuations of the scale, fourth of july picnics, birthday parties, or mean jerks who want to tear us down..., I will not waver in my determination to the promise I have made to myself on this day! For I know that if I am true to the Atkins WOL, health and confidence will surely follow!
My goal is to be 20 pounds from my goal weight (163#), and consistently exercise each week for 20 minutes at least 4X per week, by christmas (or the end of the year). That means I need to loose 5.33# each month, July thru December.
I know that when I achieve my goal, I will feel so proud to have accomplished such a milestone in my life. I will be ready to embark on OWL and other Atkins steps to loose the last 20#.
And I promise that when I am having trouble, I will come to my fellow teamsters to help! In addition, I will help my team out by also providing encouragement, wisdom, and understanding when they need it.Second Time Around!

Welcome to the challenge, thinthing! :icondance
Okay, I am off to exercise!! I use a program called "your fitness" on the xbox, it's like a virtual personal trainer. Is it weird that I don't want to miss a session because I don't want her to reprimand me? I am afraid of a computer simulation LOL

My goal is to weigh under 200 lbs by christmas (or the end of the year).
I know that when I achieve my goal, I will (buy a Louis Vuitton bag :joy) feel amazing about myself.

Hey Mary-chan, how do you like that "game". I've heard about it and was considering picking it up. I have DDR for X-box and play it occasionally. My birthday is coming up so if that simulation is any good maybe I'll ask for that.
eireanngobrach, thinthing; welcome.

Welcome to the challenge, Eireanngobrach! :icondance
Yoly: the game is good! It has it's pro's and con's, definitely. I do think it's much more fun then just a regular exercise tape, though! It's fun when you get an "award" for being committed to your program (you can unlock different workout locations, music, etc), and it's cool that it is interactive (she asks how you're feeling, and you choose a reply.. if what your'e doing is too difficult, she will lower the intensity).
The con's are that it's AI isn't that great. It's like.. hello I weigh 250, I can't do 3 minutes of double stomach crunches quite yet!! But eventually with your input, it goes to the right level. The simulated girl is a little annoying sometimes, too, but I could be projecting that lol.
But overall, I recommend it! It definitely challenges you!

Hi all
Sorry I havn't been in contact but I havn't got the internet at home and so log on when I can.
Hope everyone is doing well and by the sounds of all your posts the answer is yes! You all sound so motivated and this is why I wanted to join a group as I feel that friendly support is vital to my Atkins programme. Everyone needs to be encouraged and congratulated at times and I know this will be the place for me to come when I need that.
My official weigh in day is a friday so this will work well with the groups schedule. Last week I put on a pound but I know I've been good and TOM is round the corner so put it down to that. I've decided that small fluctuations won't bother me anymore as long as I am being true to this WOE. If I get a chance to get on the internet at the weekend, I will let you all know this weeks results.
Keep up the good work everyone x26YO/F/5"10

As promised this is my weigh-in day as I will be gone for 2 weeks starting tomorrow. I have lost a pound, which is good. The weight is coming off slow.
This challenge has helped me stay focused and that is excellent! I just pray that during our 2 weeks away visiting family I stay just as focused. I am hoping that I have some sort of breakthrough or sudden loss of pounds - this s-l-o-w weight loss is really aggravating.
Bless you all and have a good and safe 4th of July!

Have fun on your family visit, Doris! Goodluck in staying focused and getting your exercise/water :yes .
I am looking forward to our saturday weigh-in, I hope it will be rewarding! Last night I stopped eating around 7pm (4 hours before sleep), and the scale was much kinder to me this morning! I am going to continue trying this and see how my results differ from other weeks. I have also picked up the cardio this week and that has me feeling pretty good.
I hope everyone else is having a great day and are feeling wonderful!

LMAO, as you can see I am seriously kidding and ultimatly proud of you and your accomplishments.
Ladies and Gents, I need your prayers, I haven't felt well the last couple of days. Yesterday I pulled a 13 hour shift with no lunch hour so I didn't get a break. I think It piled over today and my body was really tired.
I am hoping to get it back tommorow so I can get my exercise back in.335/265/230
