You are right - it hasnt been too bad here lately - a bit cold for us but bearable and I promise I shall get out on the bike if I get it.

Thanks Michelle for updating us on Motivated. It is good to know that other team members are hanging in there!

Have you heard from any of the others recently?

If any of the rest of our team are reading this thread can you just drop a PM to Michelle to let us know you are still around - we worry you know :hug

It seems like only a few weeks ago when I could barely walk four blocks and was totally exhausted when I got home.

How have the rest of our team done?

            • Good to hear from those of you who are doing so well. I wish I could include myself. I did fine through day 8 of induction (last Wednesday) and then I am ashamed to say that I gave in to cravings. Yesterday was the first day of a new month and again a new beginning. So now I am on day 2 of induction and praying that this time I will stick with it. I only have another month until my operation (March and I really need to be on track in preparation for that.

              • Marji: We all stumble and trip and give in to old habits and cravings once in a while. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get right back on the wagon. Then take a few minutes to look back and see what caused you to lose your grip and fall. What triggered it? Look back at what food you were eating, were there hidden carbs that may have activated your cravings? Did you try something new? Was it an event or a person, or TOM?

Once you find the trigger then think about "how could I have handled this differently" plan exactly what you will do the next time, because there will be a next time.

The best thing you did was to keep coming back to ha and the CC. You can do this we all have faith in you. :hug :hug :hug

                    • Update

Hey everyone. I hope everyone's doing well. I just wanted to post to let everyone know that I'm still around. I just am having a very bad TOM this month and avoiding the scale. Last time i got on I had was up 5 pounds, so I decided to avoid it like the plague for a couple of weeks. I hate when this happens, but everytime I am late starting I seem to gain a few pounds that just lingers for a couple of weeks afterwards.

                      Happy loosing to all!

Determined to hit goal this time around!

TOM is such a pain in so many ways. Hang in there, use you tape measure and ignore the scale.

                        stay strong. :hug :hug

                        • Progress beginning to show.

In Nov when I started Atkins I could not sit down in any of the chairs in the staff lounge at work. My behind was just too big to even squeeze in. :yikes . Well yesterday I went in to heat up a snack and nobody was there so I tried sitting down in a chair. Guess what, I was able to squeeze in between the arms and sit down. :joy :joy Now it is still very snug and I had to wiggle to get out, but I was able to sit down. :joy :joy

Plus my clothes have gone from skin tight to rather baggy.

                          [singing and dancing}
Its working :dancingb: :dancingb: :dancingb: Its Working :dancingb: :dancingb: :dancingb: its working.

Sorry I just had to crow a little, I feel so good.
