Is that right it was your birthday on the 6th Feb Ashlie?
I hope you have a good day. :hug

Today was day 7 of induction. I did have a glass of red wine yesterday. It was my 60th birthday. No cake. :nono I crushed pork rinds and "breaded" pork cutlets with them, fried in olive oil. I had scrambled eggs in butter for breakfast. All allowed, but nevertheless I was 2 lbs heavier this morning. :anger How I would love to lose those 16 pounds I gained since mid December by my operation date, but it's only a month away, so I need to be realistic.
hi girls
hope you are all doing well, and a happy belated birthday to marji and ashlie.
Ive been MIA the past week ....had a bad bout of flu and strayed off plan a couple of times with canned soups and the odd slice of toast (the only things i could keep down)
Anyway im up and about again now but still feel very lethargic so ive done no real exercise this week as yet .
good news though.....
Im down to 263lbs despite the soups and lying in bed most days....wooohoo one more lb to my century mark
Ashlie and Marji: Happy belated Birthday to you both.
Roshan: I'm glad to hear you are feeling better.
My rollercoaster took a downturn this weekend and I found some cookies in the cupboard. So I ate them. Why? I thought I missed my old friends "cookies and milk". "Milk" didn't join us and it just wasn't the same anymore. I think we are drifting apart. The old spark was gone. I think I'm ready to leave them behind and move on with my life. Spending my weekend bored, sunk into the couch, doing nothing, is not how I want to live my life. I could have taken the dogs for a walk. I could have made doll clothes. I could have done a million other things that would have been a lot more fun.
The cookies are gone now and if they return to the cupboard I will know that they are only there for my Granddaughter not for me. I'm pretty sure that our time together is over. I have hope this is true, because I don't visit with "milk" anymore even though she is occasionally if the fridge. We just don't have anything in common anymore at all.
I've been safely back on the wagon since Sunday Dinner and I plan to stay here.

Hello fellow loosers! I finally got back on the loosing track this week and in a big way. I am down to 217 pounds! I haven't measured this week because I've had the flu and haven't felt much like it. I'll try to do that tomorrow. Hope everyone else is having continued sucess!

No change for me except I think I might have lost 1/2 an inch off my waist.

I measured this morning and I have lost 1 inch this week. The weekend transgressions have slowed me down but do not appear to have caused a set back.
I went for my longest walk yet this morning. 1 full hour. I barely made it home. {LOL} I was going to go to Curves this afternoon but now I will wait until tomorrow.
I feel good today. This WOE is really starting to feel like a WOL. So many things just don't bother me. Bread on the counter, milk in the fridge, are of no interest to me.
I reviewed my measurements this morning and I have lost so many inches it is amazing! 47.5 total inches is a lot. Every part of my body is shrinking, slowly but surely. Patience and persistence is all I need.

congrats ashlie and michelle on the pounds and inches,im still struggling to get rid of that last pound to hit my century mark...its proving to be a stubborn little bugger.
Im on a long week at work so a lot of running around for me over the next few days, maybe that will shift it and more with luck.
have a great week you guys and Elizellen 1/2 an inch is 1/2 an inch in the right direction so well done to you too
I wonder how are other members are doing ?
would love to hear from you all
Love reading about everyone's success. I have completed the 14 day induction. I wish I could report a weight or measurement loss. :sadblinky
I never did get into ketosis, even staying far below 20 grams of carbs, and apparently it is ketosis that curbs the hunger. I doubt that I will meet any kind of goal before the operation on March 8, but I hope that I will be able to exercise afterward to burn off enough calories to start joining the shrinking ones.
OH MARJI! How very frustrating for you. :hug :hug :hug
Have you posted some menues on "Review my Menu" to make sure that you are not missing something? I know that I was making mistakes that were stopping me. Post a few days with all the measurements and ingredients and let the guru's there really check things out for you.
Have you read chapter 20 in DANDR meabolic resistance: Causes and Solutions? Maybe you need to look at your supplements? Treat this like a mystery to be solved not a failure. Because you worked hard and now we need to help you find the roadblock that is in your way.

Hi, Michelle, you are right. It is sooo frustrating.
I can post some menus on "Review my Menu" if you think that will help, but I have only been eating meat or poultry or fish and olive oil, less than 3 oz of Parmesan cheese the last few days. Literally nothing otherwise. What is there to miss? I did reread chapter 20 in DANDR about metabolic resistance. That's why I even left out the salad and for the most part, cheese, which Dr. A. says is the only real source of carbs, in an effort to get into ketosis. I have also tried the fat fast in the past, but found it equally hard to stick with the limited amount of food/calories. When I began at 203 pounds, it wasn't a problem, because I could eat lots of calories and still lose weight and then I was also able to exercise. Even then it took me a year and a half to lose 69 pounds, 16 of which I have gained since the fall. I am taking the original Atkins supplements. Thanks for your help and sympathy.
Hello all :wave
