  • Just checking in this morning. :wave

    I treated myself and finally bought a Yoga Ball. Wow! REALLY fun!! I'm REALLY sore today but it's not the typical soreness after a workout. I worked muscles that probably never had a real workout in all my 36 years! It took a little time to get over the fear of popping it, but I figured it's only 22" high, if I pop it, I won't have far to fall! I pretty much played with it, trying it out and seeing what it could do.

    After taking it for a spin, I sat on it while I knitted (keeping the needles far away!) and could really feel some muscle work, even while not actively exercising. I highly recommend these balls!

    The kitties, however, weren't amused.



    Oh yeah, I also did a 2-mile Walk Away the Pounds routine too.

    • Okay team...yes i been slacking but was on track this week. I was weighed in at a doctor appointment last thrusday and one week again on the same scale I am down 9 lbs.... yeah me.

      THIS is a fresh restart of things for me this week that is why the loss number is so big....BUT ill take it pounts gone!!!!!!

      Lasst10 i soooo want one of those balls for working out!!!! Maybe I will treat myself to one this spring......

          • I would like to say hello to everyone. So sorry that I have been missing in action lately but I still haven't finished moving everything from the old place to the new place. Pulling an extra shift because of a call out, so I dug out my laptop and brought it with me. I have been very good and haven't had any cheats. drinking my water and taking my vitamins. I am down another 5 lbs bringing my weight to 268. Before I know it I will be down 50 lbs!!!

              • WOW nice to hear of your weight loss fina!!!!! Yes moving is alot of work but so glad your on track with it.

                As for me I just weighed this morning and i am down another 4 lbs.....!!!

                Hope all the others we havent heard from are doing well to...THINKING ABOUT YOU TEAM!!! ITS you guys that got me on the loosing track again!!!!! SO post and let us know how your all doing!

                • Congrats!! Way to Go!! It feels so good to know that those pounds are being kicked to the curb, hopefully to never visit us again :icondance I am just wondering where everyone else is???? I think we are going to have to send out a search team for them

                      • Hey Team 3 where is everybody???

                        Fina and Friendly--glad to see you both and to see that you are losing.

                        Where's everyone else? Last10, how you are doing? I started the couch to 5K program and am having trouble figuring out when to move to the next stage. I can get through stage one and think I can move on to stage two but the other stages are looking kind of scary! Oh well, one step at a time, right?

                        • good for you just keep pushing yourself and be like that little engin that could I think I can I think I can and you will. Mental fatigue comes way before actual physical fatigue when we are exercising.

                          • Hi everyone I am still here. Extremely busy with work and setting up the new apartment. Still staying with it and I am very happy to say that I am down a grand total of 49 lbs. I really hope that I can make it 50 before the end of the month. So I am down to 263. I haven't done inches lately, but my clothes are starting to look that I can fit another person in there with me.

                              I am still here.
                              landasmom: I am also doing the C25K and I decided to do each "week" for a month. There was no way I could do it any faster than that. In fact, I had to do the first "week" for 2 months before I was ready to move on. Also I modify the routines a little bit. I was feeling that my recovery time was improving and I wanted my heart rate to stay up, so I never walk more then 90 sec. between my running. Now I am on the 4th "week" But here is what I do (a bit different from their plan):
                              5 min warm up
                              run 1.5 min
                              walk 1.5
                              run 3 min
                              walk 1.5
                              run 5 min
                              walk 1.5
                              run 3 min
                              walk 1.5
                              run 5 min

                              I do this every other day because I get shin splints if I go more often. On the off days, I just started going to the gym (as of March 11th) and I do weight lifting and 30 min on the elliptical machine. My weight loss slowed way down when I started running only every other day in Feb. because of my shins. But since I started going to the gym on my off days, my weight loss has picked back up again. (I hope I didn't just jinx anything) Anyway, The weightloss has been so slow in Feb and beginning of March that I probably won't be able to make Onderland by memorial day, but I am hoping for 225 by April 1st, and hopefully 215 when I move back to the USA at the end of April...We'll see.....

                              • Hi team....just stopping in im in a very foul mood....TOM will do that i guess.

                                First i didnt weigh cause im probably bloated my monthly 5 lbs and dont want that to disrupt me.

                                2nd teamies....well i been to the cardiologist first a consult then some tests were done......i had a nuclear stress test and a echocardiogram.
                                Well they see some shadowing, maybe my large body size causeing it
                                they dont know but their scheduling me right away for an angirogram....
                                so im pissed at the world.....Why? i dont have time to tend this stuff...
                                its never easy to close my daycare, find somone to tend my kids
                                and address something that has to do with me.
                                But i guess i better or ill end up with a massive heart attack and dead...yeah fun pretty thoughts sorry friends...
                                My spririts stink...but thats life i suppose.
                                Never goes the way i want it too.

                                Well keep up the loosing team ...cant say my WOE is top prioirty
                                this upcomeing week but ill try. thanks in advance
