    Since that posting, I have been alternating daily exercise of cardio and weight training.

    Cardio has been doing my Walk Away the Pounds DVDs. I'm getting back into the swing of it by doing the one mile walk. By the end of next week, I want to get back to the two mile walk.

    Weight training has been using the weight machine, typically 60-80 reps at various stations on the machine.

    Every day, both morning and evening, I have been doing 60 ab crunches, 15 inverted crunches, 20 leg lifts (per leg), and 20 squats.

    I've been doing this for almost a week now, and I've really noticed a difference. I feel stronger, and both my waist and hip measurements are down 1" each, and I've lost two pounds. :ThumbsUp

    I've also added a new personal goal to my sig. It's aggressive and it gives me butterflies thinking about it, but that's what a big goal should do, right?

      • I AM BACK! AIN'T NO STOPPIN ME NOW!

        Even though I can't seem to shake this cold thing I have going on.. I promised myself and my local dieting buddy that I'm going on vacation with that I would get back in the swing of things on Saturday (yesterday). So I officially started induction again and have already lost 2.2 lbs. I didn't go to the gym (cause I couldn't breathe through my nose) and I barely got any water in but today I will do better for sure. Might not make it to the gym as I don't want my fever to skyrocket or anything.

        Total I've lost 11.2 lbs. My original goal was to lose 10 lbs a month which I thought was doable. To make that goal, I need to lose 8.8 lbs by the end of this month. Then my next mini goal is kinda aggressive! I want to weigh 190 (32.8 lb loss) by 4/28! All I can do is try...even I don't make the next mini goal.. any loss is better than no loss.

        I hope to be able to contribute a loss of 72.8 lbs for the team challenge in July!

          • good for you I like your Attitude. Don't forget your goal weight maybe too smal of you on the way back down as you have lots more lean body mass from supporting your larger body and moving it around then you did on the way up past that weight the first time.

                        • turthfully i dont check cause i dont get thru the 2 week clean induction......homelife interferes time and time again.

                          dont know what to do anymore with all i have on me.
                          Just wish i could loose and fix it all.
                          Need the confidence that would come back.

                            I find the more active I am on this board, the more I'm motivated to keep going and stay away from temptation and exercise even when I don't really feel like it.

                            • I'm still here and yes I've been EXERCISING! I've had a head cold all week, so it's been a little tough, but I've been doing it. 2Big, you would be so proud! I've put the scale on hold for now, so I don't know if I've lost anything, but I've really been watching what I eat too.

                              Lynn: I have to agree, the more time I spend on the board, the more motivated I am, and it keeps me away from the TV and thoughts of useless carbs!

                              Friendly: Anything I can do to help? How can we help motivate you? You'be been in this too long to give up now! Come on, you CAN do this!

                              Fina: 3 pounds this week? Congratulations!!! That's so fantastic. I long for those days when I'd lose 3 pounds in a week!

                                I don't think you understand Atkins the 14 days is just for brand new to Atkins folk and is supposed to psych them up for doing it. Dr Atkins picked the veggie limit knowing folk would be having 15=20 net grams and over 90% of the folk who try Atkins would lose weight on that level. You know you do so why don't you just move to OWL and forget induction you know you can do it as you have in the past! just do enough induction eating to get your ketosis going say 2-3 days and then jump back up to OWL with the more food choices it should be easier to stay Atkins low carb even when stressed. Salads are everywhere and with those 5 extrat net carb grams on rung one and your 3 cups from induction you could do salad every meal and be stress free Atkins
                                Yes you will not get the huge rapid los but you aren't getting it now and the failure to do it is really getting to you. As the song says Don't Worry Be Happy and for you that would be as an OWLer slow heathl weight loss while handling all that family can throw at you what else could you ask for?
