            yeah team 3! If I were to make a prediction I would guess that with 2bigs whip over you all, you are going to when the most exercise award for sure!

            I believe team 3 is the only one with their very own goalie on board! listen to her, follow her advice, and you all are going to go very very far!

                GO TEAM!

                Pammie has added me to your team! I went tonight and bought another scale and a Brita water filter and a water jug to carry to work. I have my food journal ready and my workout time set aside. Thankfully I have a 24 hour fitness center at my apartment complex in case something comes up and I can't go at the same time every day.

                I'm trying to think of a team name or logo now. As soon I come up with something clever (don't hold your breath).. I'll share with the group.

                When do we need to report our weight and measurements and can you fill me in on what body parts we are measuring?

                Just thought of a name... or not...

                  Notsofatsos sounds good to me.


                  I have no idea what inches you need to count and I'd like very much for this team not to concentrate on numbers of stuff lost as that can get very frustrating for folk. just keep your numbers so you can compare now to later and your pounds so you can compare you now to you later. COmparing to another person isn't being fair to you.

                  How about just post your goals and then break them down into smaller achiveable things like the coming week, how you plan to make those goals happen and then post if you were successful with last weeks goals or not and what you are planning to change to beable to achieve your goal.

                  then everybody has their own pace and is happy with what they are or aren't achiving here. We don't want to frighten anyone off with making them share their weight or measurements with 16,000 of their new friends.

                  The improtant thing is to get all of us, vets and Newbies eating right and doing the mandatory exercise part of Atkins. once you get the program going right everything else will take care of itself.

                  But we are a team so if the team whants numbers then we can have numbers too. SO what do you guys think?

                    How bout this?

                    We could designate someone (and I'm happy to do it) to keep a spreadsheet of our progress. I or whoever could send all the team members a PM with an email address to send their info to instead of posting it all on the board. All we really need to keep on there is the name, starting weight, goal weight and a column for each week to shows lbs lost and total inches lost for that week. If we wanted to share our progress with the board, we could just let them know the total lbs lost for the group for each week instead of individually.

                    I hope that is making some sense. I think it will help to share our numbers with each other so we know who and how to motivate each other.

                      the challenge is to become the team with the largest amount of the total amount our group memebers need to lose lost like if our team memebers total needed to lose weight was 1000 pounds and we lost 600 pounds total then we'd be 60% and if another team needed to lose 400 pounds and lost 300 they would be 75% and win the competiton.

                        Ok so then we don't need a chart or anything then. Do we need to share the amount we need to lose to get to our goal weight and then add all team members amounts together and go from there?

                        One of the teams is sharing how much they want to lose by July 1st. Do we need to do that or is it based on the total amount we need to lose to reach our goal weight? :confused

                          I have been quite busy. I am all ready have my water bottle, my vitamins. Lots of good foods and I have my pedometer all geared up. I really want our team to win!!!!

                              yep pedometers are great we have a ADBB walking challenge goijng walking across the US except the member running it has taken leave fopr the group totals but you can doi it yourself I'm in Sacramento now waiting for the rest to get there so we can move to the walk the world challenge. There is also the presidents exercise challenge and pede walking is one of the activities thewre too. And of course therer is the CCEC challenge in our CC area too it is stickied at the toop iof the CC forum and enrollment in any of them is open to all.

                              Are y'all doing the 10K a day program? I do that and have been doing it since Jan 2003 and I love it. You really learn to go the long way and take the extra free exercise you get moving those feet when you have that pedometer to remind you every minute of the day.

                              Okay fina any thoughts on our name.
                              sneal717 I think Pammie is going with gola weights for our entire Atkins journey and noit a july goal weight.


                              So what are your goals for the next 6 months?

                              Mine are to not become one of those 9 out of 10 folk who regain their lost weight in the first yr.
                              And tio not sit on my laurels and stay active
