*snorting* that must be a rhetorical question. I can get sore muuuuuuch faster than that Heck, thinking about exercising that much can make me sore

Thanks for asking Cat, my knee still feels like crap. I landed right on the knee plate, and even pulling my pants on this morning hurt. Between that and my back-which has improved-I'm gonna have to do chair exercises to meet my goal!!

        What I know:
        1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.

              30 minutes today (elliptical)

I decided to wait and weigh Monday morning...I've made it five days without weighing...I think I can go two more and weigh in on my official weigh-in day...I'm actually being somewhat of a chicken though and don't really want to step on the scale ...I will let everyone know Monday morning how it goes...

Way to go Roger!! Your pounds to lose are now less than the pounds you've lost. That's awesome!!

Well, listening to talk radio in the wee hours, and the timing couldn't have been better. They had an interview with Jack LaLane (sp?) now 93 years old.....talking about how to do chair exercises!! I'm off and running...errrr....sitting!! 20 minutes so far today, gonna do another 10 a bit later, cause heck, a 93 year old man is in better shape than I am But, this is something I should be able to do despite my knee and back

                        Hello Challengers!
I just want to come by and congratulate everyone on how great they'er doing. I'll probably not make my exercise goal for this challenge. It doesn't mean that I won't keep trying though. I am hoping to make my weightloss goal. I'm still not weighing even after successfully making it through the No Way No Weigh Challenge. I've decided not to weigh untill this Challenge is over on the 21st. I am relying on the tape measure for now. I can tell you that I have lost an inch off of my waiste since I last measured on the 1st of March. So if I'm not losing pounds I know I'm losing inches. I'll take it. I've taken these last few days off and plan on getting back on track with my exercise tomorrow. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

                          thanks! (obsessed is more accurate)

I remember trying to get my mom to do sitting exercises...I swear that woman would have driven to the bathroom if she could have gotten the car in the house...

she was in terrible shape , emotionally and physically, and after she had a car accident and hurt her ankle, it got worse..but she would never try to exercise at all...she used her ankle as an excuse, but I think the truth was that she had stopped caring....it wasn't really a weight issue, but it became one because her eating habits were terrible as well. Then of course it became a health issue....it was sad really.....

I find that exercise in general makes me feel better both mentally and physically...I feel happier and more motivated when I exercise...that's why I try to do something...anything... everyday...esp something I like, like swimming ( I invited her over to swim too...she did that once ).

my mom is an extreme example, but still I think it shows how beneficial exercise can be in many ways.

Sherri, you are one strong woman. There's no way I could stay off the scale for 2 more weeks! lol Good for you. And congrats on those inches coming off too.

Lori, I totally agree... I never realized how much good exercise can do for the body until I started doing it consistently. The key is finding something you enjoy and making it a habit... a hobby, if you will. I'm glad you found yours... Swimming! I'm jealous. I wish I had a pool!
