It's a website that allows you to record and show/highlight to you exactly what you are eating - broken down into fats, carbs, proteins, etc - you can record your weight and measurements and can even allow other atkineers to view your records - give it a go....

      Hey everybody,

I'm ashamed of myself because I didn't hold accountability to myself .

Hopefully, next week I'll be hooked up to the internet. I'm going to whip myself to mean what I say. I am holding myself up for accountability once a week .
      THANK YOU

Re: Welcome to the Second Time Around Club

I am back on the Atkins diet but new to ADBB. I think if I had found this site earlier I may not have failed in my first two attempts. I have lost 10 lbs in three weeks this time around, but on previous attempts, I have lost as much as 15 in three weeks. I do have to consider that I have aged considerably since I last tried Atkins so I am sure that makes some difference. I am determined to check in at least once a day here and to stick to the Exercise challenge commitment that I made today in the forum.

Re: Welcome to the Second Time Around Club

          Hi all,

Well I quit Atkins after I found out I was pregnant. I have since had a beautiful baby boy. He is now 8 months old. After I had him I actually ended up smaller than I was when I got pregnant. Well - that being said - I gained and gained and gained since then!!! Boo hoo!!! LOL - Well I have decided that I have to do something!!! So here I am on day 1 on induction!!! Woke up - went for a walk - came back ate breakfast and feel good!!! Got me a big glass of water and I'm set for a good day!!! Talk to me in about 3 days to see if I'm still this cheery!!! But help me stay cheery - I know there is a healthier, trimmer me in here somewhere!!! Help me find her!!!
Thanks for this support system - I'm gonna need it!!!

Re: Welcome to the Second Time Around Club

I don't know whose idea STAC was, but bless 'em! It's exactly what I need right now, so may I join you folks?

Thanks to ADBB, I went from 213 pounds to 152 -- a loss of 61 pounds, and was only 17 pounds from goal. When I "dropped out" (long, sad story, not even worth going into) I gained back 27.5 pounds, taking me to 179.5. I restarted induction last week, and now I'm at 175, so I've exactly 40 pounds to drop to reach goal.

I've learned my lesson. No matter how bad things get, I will always make what I eat a high priority in my life, and I will keep coming to ADBB for the support that I know will take me all the way to goal.

This is a fantasic forum, because it's so great to be able to share with others who've fallen off the wagon, but have jumped back on.

I guess I need to run out and get a couple of things -- Dr. Phil's book and a huge jar of 2Big's wagonseat butt glue!

Chris-- desertthorne, to my knowledge, is the angel we have to thank for this forum. I agree, that along with 2big's buttglue and everyone here, this is a true blessing to ADBB! It's so good to see you back!

BTW, if it makes you feel any better I fell off the wagon this summer and gained over 40 pounds in only 3 months. *lol*

Re: Welcome to the Second Time Around Club

Hello. I recently joined and am on day 9 of induction after having lost and regained 50 pounds. I'm really happy to see that this STAC board is here. Atkins is really different this time. I lost 4 pounds the first day...then only 1 pound in the reminainf week. I am feeling sooo good though...ad I can already feel the difference in my clothes. I thought I might have a form of "induction flu" there for a day or so. Lots of nausea and vomiting...but tonight, it seems to be a thing of the past....I hope.

Re: Welcome to the Second Time Around Club

I'm back for my second serious attempt at getting the weight off once and for all. The first time I went on Atkins, I was able to lose quite a bit of weight. Unfortunately most of it found me. Since April I've managed to lose 26 of those "refound" pounds but I haven't been seriously following the program.

Today marks Day 1 of Induction.

thanks for the support Elizellen and Debby. I am finding this eating plan as easy to follow as I did the first time around. And.Debby...26 pounds since Aril is nothing to sniff at...IMHO!

And welcome to STAC. I have often wondered how you were doing.

Be sure to check out all the stickies at the top of the forum. There is a great deal of information that can be very helpful to you.
