  • Re: Kentucky Derby . . . . . . Keeping on Track

Hello my Derby Sisters, I hope everyone is blessed today. Well I completed my first restart week and it was ok. I lost 2 lbs and was grateful for that. TOM is here for me now so I am really bloated. I plan on starting back exercising tomorrow. I have realized I really do need those exercise and water challenges to keep me motivated for now. I will be starting both of those challenges next week.

I had a fun weekend. My DD and I went to the beach on Saturday and had lunch there and played in the water some. It was a blast!

I hope everyone has a good week next week and stay focused on your goal!

After DD gets moved I'm going to do a Clean Sweep in my house. The clutter contributes to depression. It is all so overwhelming but I'm finally ready to tackle it. I'm so upset with myself for allowing this mess to occur...nothing to do but take care of it!!

      Have a great day!!
I did send an email to eHarmony. I mean, what if he harrasses some other poor woman like this.

Oh, you are so right about the clutter. My house looks like a jungle. What I wouldn't give to have a housekeeper!! I did peruse the internet and visited this site. Check it out FlyLady. I do suffer from C.H.A.O.S. (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome). It's a shame to admit this but I'm making changes one day at a time.

Cat, I didn't get my Calcium levels taken at doctors. But I did read about the effects of low levels and I met all the signs. I can tell you once I started taking it, the fatigue and pain went away. I'll always take my Calcium w/ D everyday from now on. Do you see a difference in how you feel now?
Katie, I'm happy you're feeling much better now. Those pounds will melt off fast and then some. You go girl!
Waving Hello to you Glenda, Sunny, Marty, Kass, Lashon, Katherine
Honestly, no I don't feel better but it's only been one week. She did tell me that my levels were so low that I'll have to be on 2 eight-week rounds of the Vitamin D. At least now I know I don't have fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue (as I was beginning to think I had) because the deficiency mocks both of those conditions. I know you're busy (because the stole our friend) but I'm happy to see you.

Online dating can be fun and exciting but one of the major down sides to it is, you open yourself up to all kinds of maniacs. When I was on this one online dating site, I had SO MANY men on my block list until isn't wasn't funny. Just nuts and alot of the other ones I encountered were just BOYS playing GAMES for easy S-x with not committment and I wasn't having it. Hang in there my sister, our Father really does have a Chosen Gentleman just for YOU and for me. But like someone else suggested I would report him to eHarmony. Who knows who else he has done this to.
I'm at an age where games are nowhere near cute. The majority of these men are stupid. One guy said, "hello sexy chocolate". Instant turn-off so I didn't email him back. Another one, when I asked his name said, "you can call me love but my name is...". Ack!! Do they think they're being charming? It just shows me what maturity level they are on. I did talk to a guy tonight that I had been talking to on singlesnet. He seems to be sane. He lives 30 minutes from me. His name is Ray. He has one son who is 20. He's 49. He was just normal when I talked to him. He talked about his mom and sisters. He works at Toyota as an engineer. He plays the violin, piano, and guitar. Most importantly he is a Christian and actually goes to the church I used to go to when I lived there. I wonder if we've met and don't know it. I'm going very, very, very slow. I spoke with Ray by phone (he sent me his #). This was good because I didn't have to give him my #. We were comparing horror stories. Mine beat his. He's had numerous married women contact him. How horrible is that? Oh, when talking about his ex he was very polite and didn't name-call which is a nice indicator of a man's integrity. He asked if he could call and talk to me tomorrow (manners) and I told him yes. My home address is non-published. There shall be no reverse look-ups to find me. Besides, he's the only one I gave my actual # to. The rest of them declaring love up front get deleted.

C.H.A.O.S., Cat you are too funny. This is actually an area I cover in MIHI, Made In His Image Course. I will share some of the information with you. Perhaps it will help.

              Prepare to clean
Make sure that you have what you need to clean, sanitize and deodorize beforeyou start cleaning. Nothing is more frustrating than starting to clean and then realizing you do not have what you need to clean with.

Set aside some time just for cleaning
Determine a day and timeframe you will clean and try to stick to it.

              Do not become overwhelmed
If you have quite a bit of cleaning to do or you simply do not enjoy cleaning, just thinking about it can become overwhelming. Do not become overwhelmed. Simply acknowledge what needs to be done, start where you are, use what you have and do what you can.

Completely clean one area at a time. Do not start cleaning one area, move on to another and leave the previous area incomplete. If you do this, it may appear that you are getting a lot accomplished but in essence you are not. Eventually you will realize that you have not completed anything and there are unfinished areas all around you.

Ask for help if necessary and delegate. If you have family or friends who live with you, do not hesitate to ask them to help cleanup and assign them a specific area. This relieves the pressure from you and everyone contributes in keeping the home clean. Do not assume they will help. You must ASK.

Put on Praise music (if necessary)
Sometimes putting on praise music can help with the tedious task of cleaning. When you are singing and praising God while cleaning, the time seems to go by very quickly and you are not so focused on the task at hand.

              Reduce Clutter
Having too many unnecessary things in a home, such as old papers, magazines, clothes, shoes, toys and so on, can make the home appear cluttered and unorganized. To eliminate this, try using the six-month rule, which is, if you have not used, worn, or read it in six months, GET RID OF IT. This works in most cases unless there is a legality, which requires you to keep items longer. In which case, store them in a labeled storage container and put them away.

Wishing all of you a nice evening! DD is doing well today. She's not experiencing any discomfort from her burn.
I've been noticing something different when I look in the mirror. My collar bone is becoming more distinct. So I measured my neck. I lost a 1/2 inch and now have a 14 inch neck. I'm really looking forward to weighing and measuring on the first.
I go and see the doctor next month. To get my thyroid levels checked and get A1c, lipids, and liver function checked. I'll let you know what I find out. I've been doing a few things differently since my last visit 12 weeks ago. No sweetners at all, No cheats. I've added more MUFAS and I added L-Carnitine into my supplements, along with a different Pro-Biotic. More exercise too. It's exciting to me to see how my blood chemistry will have changed.
Wishing everyone a great low carb weekend. Love you bunches!

Thanks Lashon. I just really HATE cleaning. I don't know why. I mean I could outside and mow the lawn, etc. and be okay. I'm okay when I'm at work. I am just not domesticated. I like flylady's idea of 15 minutes at a time. I tend to get frustrated very easily. I also am a perfectionist which is why (I've read) it's harder for me to clean. I want everything done and I want it done perfectly and if I know I can't do it and get it done perfectly...then I don't it at all. I know it sounds strange but it's true. Now don't get me wrong my bathrooms and kitchen are always clean. My grandfather instilled that. However, I have clutter-itis and tend to collect magazines, mail, etc. and they pile up to high heaven. Yep, say a prayer for me. Yesterday went good. I moved all the furniture (including the washer and dryer) and cleaned. My psyche now feels better.

The healing service went on for three straight hours. All told, I sang and stood for the better part of four hours, yesterday. It was a beautiful service and I was blessed to see quite a few miracles. I was emotionally drained when I finally got home. We had snow and sleet most of yesterday.
