I'm on Synthroid now but heard the Armour is supposed to be good for overall symptoms with the thyroid. Wish me luck. I want to feel normal in 2008.

    Goodnight all!!
I have heard a lot of good stuff about Armour thyroid. I hope he will consider putting you on it for a trial.

About that "normal"--I don't think normal is all it's cracked up to be! I prefer to be better than normal!

Good morning! I had my doc appt (check-up) this morning. BP 100/70; labs normal. Amazingly enough, my doc office never weighs me. Go figure!! My thyroid results were normal....even though I feel like falling asleep all the time. He said it would take a year for my thyroid to shrink. He doesn't want to up my meds (or give me Armour - could just smack doctors sometimes)....doesn't want to make me hyper (vs my hypo). Oh well, this too shall pass.

Hope you are all having a better day than me.

Sunny, I sure hope you feel better. Sherri is right....you've overcome so much. You'll get through this too. I know you will. Amazingly I can tell you to be strong when I'm over here trying not to have a pity party myself. I get to go on the 3rd and get a nice lovely shot of steroids in my foot for the Morton's Neuroma. I did make sure that the steroids are localized and won't travel through my body but he could have been lying. What do you think? Will it cause me to gain weight? If so, I am going to decline and heal myself somehow. I'm too close to Onderland to wreck it up over a shot.

Sunny, have you tried any natural alternatives to what the docs want to give you? If you will give me your dx I will research for you to see what I can find. I'm getting ready to research to see what I can do on my own for this arthropathy and the Morton's neuroma (not to mention the stupid fibroid tumor that is wreaking havoc on my innards as we speak). Again, this too shall pass. I'm at a point of laughing hysterically.....only because I don't want to cry.

I'm going back and forth between anger and sadness at the moment. I don't want to be tired anymore. Yep, my fingers are crossed that he's telling the truth lest I have to find a new doctor.

                Good Afternoon everyone:

WOW so excited to see how good everyone has been doing. That is awesome. Went back in the thread .

Cat... you pictures are amazing. Where did your tummy go?? I wish mine was going away as great as yours.

Kass: What a wonderful family you have. I remember my oldest when he started to catch up to me.... oh my!!! However as he reached 5'11" to my 5'4", it was easier with my youngest son. He's 5'9" at 16. When they would tease me about being short, I handed them the broom and them they could do "web" duty since they were closer.

Sunny: I as so sorry for your loss. What a horrible time for horrible news. I've been told that God only gives us what we can handle but I sometimes think he has given me waaaaayyyyy to much credit.

Sherri:I'm with you.. I fell off the wagon so bad it knocked me out. I got on the scale yesterday which has made me feel worse. With all the people in my house, the extra work hours and a round of "everybody just leave me alone", I haven't had time or effort to keep my legal things handy. Did I mention that my mother-in-law is a gourmay cook?? That really helps me... not,.

Welcomes to Jersey, I have been out of pocket the last few days. But wanted to say hi!!!

Sweets: You;re the only missing piece to our puzzle..

I am glad to come by and visit.. however, somtimes i end up with not the time to write when i sneak a min. or two to read.... I'll do better !!!

                HAPPY FRIDAY TO ALL !!!!

                      Hey Ladies,

Tonight I made a Lasagna...it was really filling and easy.

                      1/2 lb of ground beef
                      12 oz of frozen spinach
                      2 cups mushrooms
3/4 cups of tomato sauce (8 cabs total)
                      2 eggs
                      2 cups cheese

                      Spray pan with pam
spread spinach on bottom of pan
mix eggs and 1/2 cup of cheese and pour over spinach
mix together meat and sauce/spread over spinach mixture
top with another layer of cheese
                      layer of mushrooms
                      last layer of cheese
Bake at 350 for 340 minutes

                      So delicious

I wish I still felt like cleaning when I'm mad! I used to be able to tear through my house in no time flat! I am finally getting over my pity party, but it's slow coming, this time. I ate more crap last night after eating well all day! I've got to get it in gear once again! The New Year is almost here.

I made an 8 plus pound sirloin tip roast today, that I have been marinating for a few days. It was really good for a change. I have almost depleted my supply of ready-to-eat foods that I keep in the freezer. I sliced up the rest of my Christmas ham and put that in the freezer today. I have been wanting to defrost my upright freezer before cooking a bunch of stuff to freeze, but it doesn't look like that will be happening very soon.

I just PMed Sweets and sent her an e-mail. She hasn't logged on since December 20th. I hope she hasn't given up!

Well, it's pretty warm outside, so I am going for a walk! See you guys later!

Hey girl! I'll pass this on to my friend who LOVES mushrooms. It looks great but I don't like mushrooms (love lasagna). My Mom used to try to trick me when I was little and tell me it was meat. I would pretend to be chewing and when she wasn't looking spit them out. I used to didn't like eggs either but acquired a taste for them. I just can't seem to do that with mushrooms (I think it's the texture. I can't eat jello, gummy bears, etc.).

How's your baby enjoying his Christmas gifts? Don't tell him I called him a baby.
