Good morning everyone!! Kass and I went into the journal chat room last night. We thought it would be awesome if we could schedule a time for us to all meet in there.

TOM finally left (oh he hung in there) so I finally weighed with one eye closed. I'm down 2 more pounds. I'm so psyched. I didn't know what the almond drink would do but I'm happy to see the pounds going in the right direction.

Ok, heading back to bed. I just was so nervous to weigh this morning so I had to get up and "Get ur done!".

    Have an awesome day everyone!

That sounds like a great idea! Let the rest of us know when! We are in all time zones, so we need to take that into consideration. I have lots of friends on the West coast (of Canada), so am used to the 3-hour time difference.

That's fantastic that you lost 2 more pounds! You are going to be in Onederland very soon!

I was wary of weighing yesterday, but I was down about a pound from the high that I have been at every the since surgery and steroid gains. I'm still about 10 pounds above my lowest weight. I still have tons of swelling on my whole left side. My face looks like I have the mumps. Always fun when you are in front of 300 to 600 people so much of the time. My church sanctuary holds 525 people and during some programs it is full and they bring in chairs for the overflow.

Must get back to work. I've been slacking off on cleaning and cooking.

      Sunny!

I'm Eastern time. When I post on here, I'm an hour ahead of what the forum says.

Sunny, I hope you get better soon so you can really enjoy Christmas. Does your son remember being told about Santa (or lack thereof)? Tashiana still believes. She's 6. Last year she found her bicycle in the closet (after moving everything to get in there). I told her that Santa had left it because it was too big for his sleigh. She asked me how I knew. I told her he left a letter. She asked to see the letter. Why? She was 5. This year she looked at the gifts under the tree, had my Mom take her to Wal-Mart, went straight to Baby Alive (didn't ask for anything), and came home. She then went to one of the boxes under the tree and said emphatically, "Yep, that's Baby Alive". She had measured the box at the store. Tell me why?

Today for lunch I wanted something different. So, I made some fried zucchini. I used one medium zucchini, 1 egg, 1.5 tbsps. heavy cream, and ground pork skins. Oh my gosh!! They were delish!! Yummo!! See below:

My son is/was 5 years older than my daughter. When he was in the 2nd grade, he came home acting like he knew Santa was not real. I knew he was friends with some older boys that told him stuff that he didn't need to know. He kept asking loaded questions, implying that he was too old to believe in Santa, so I told him the truth. This was a kid that NEVER cried. He burst out crying and said he didn't believe the boys and wanted me to convince him that he was real. He went running to his room yelling, "Next, you'll tell me the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy are not real!!!" What was I supposed to say then? I explained it all to him, but had one real unhappy kid that Christmas.

Sooo...I decided I would never tell Paula, my daughter. Wherever she heard it, it wasn't coming from me. Fast forward to the year she was 12 (she was several grades ahead and already in high school). She had a friend over spending the night and they were looking at stockings and the friend said something about there not being a Santa and Paula shushed her loudly and said, "Don't talk so loud, my mom still believes! Don't ruin it for her!" I about died laughing and told her the Jamie story. She said she had known since she was 5 and in the 2nd. grade!

Ahhhh...fond memories! Kids are just the best! I love 'em all!

          Sunny!
Thank you so much for sharing that story with me Sunny! It warms my heart and soul! Last night at supper after prayer we were talking with Sierra and what she had put on her Christmas letter to Santa. I told her before we mailed it that I had put a P.S. at the bottom that read----From Mom, Santa: as we know you're watching to see if we're naughty or good. Sierra is a really good girl with wonderful grades. Although she doesn't keep her bedroom very clean. So, if her room isn't clean when you come, just leave a few things that she asked for. signed, Mom. OMG! I thought she was going to have a tizzy fit! She said, "mom you didn't really put that on there, did you?" I told her I certainly did! Boy, she went right in her room after dinner and cleaned her room. This morning the bed is made and her things are picked up. HEHE. At least her room will be clean untill Christmas day. That's all a mom can hope for.Hehe! By the way she's getting the things she's asked for, plus more!

                    Afternon Ladies,

Cat...I think she's figured it ot. But she'll probably pretend for you.

Sunny...I'm glas you are feeling better these days. Your church sounds like so much fun. I grew up in the church but we stopped attending after my grandmother died. I want my son to be involved in church and yours sounds like so much fun. The last few that I have visited..the preacher was preaching at the crowd. I like preachers that preach about how to become better not those that preach about the wrong that people do. Are you Familiar with Joel Olsteen? I am looking for a preacher like him and a a church with a lot of support for young kids.

I'll find it one day...maybe when I start looking a little harder.

Sherri...You are cooking up a storm girl. You better be glad that you don't live near me. I'd be over there eating everything (legal) up.

Sweets/Smokin hot Granny where u at?

We need to find a time to chat. Like Cat said, we had a great time chatting.

You know, I think I could make passable hush puppies with almond flour, flax meal and finely crushed pork rinds! I could have fried fish, hush puppies, cole slaw and I could make fries with jicama. I wish they made pork rinds without salt. I don't like the taste of salt, and when I bread fried foods with crushed pork rinds, they turn out too salty.

                      Sunny!

The church you are looking for is the exact description of my church and preacher(s). We have about 200 kids that attend on a regular basis. They have so much for them to do at church and out. I'm Baptist and we have a lot of big camps for the kids and they get to go often. They take them in age groups. They also go all over doing projects for the less fortunate. They went to the Eastern Shore, the most depressed area in Virginia, and repaired homes and built decks and ramps for dozens of families. They take the kids white water rafting, skiing, to the beach and all kinds of great places. Oh, last summer, vacation bible school had horses every day and on Friday, for the round-up, they brought in camels, a donkey and ponies to ride! They dyed a mare a different color each day. Now I gotta post pictures! She was pink the day I took pictures.

My pastor just got back from your home town. His wife is a big shot at a local university and she got sent to SF as a speaker at a conference. He always goes where the tourists won't go, but he wants to see what homeless people, etc., really have to deal with. His cab driver wouldn't even take him to the "Tenderloin" so he walked. He goes to as many different churches as he can, too. He always comes back with a bunch of stories.

He's very unique--I've never met anyone like him. I go to both services every Sunday, and I've never been bored for even one minute. Nobody dozes off in one of his sermons. His voice is mesmerizing. Everyone in the church is so friendly, welcoming and accepting. Visitors can be overwhelmed at the reception they get!

                        Okay--here's pictures of bible school:

Now, I gotta go do stuff!

                        Sunny!
