I'm here. I'm cooking for my family's Christmas dinner tomorrow night, wrapping presents, cleaning house and I am sooooo tired. We're supposed to get snow, sleet and freezing rain. I love snow, but I live at the top of a big hill and this car doesn't even like rain. I don't like ice. I already have to be at two places, 20 miles apart, at the same time, now this.

      Sunny!

The skin is the best part! I don't like KFC anyway--too greasy for me.

How well I know about the lake effect snow around Lake Ontario! I have a friend in Guelph that shares my birthday--January 10th. She decided to come to Virginia and wanted to go to Virginia Beach with another Virginia friend for our birthday. Two problems: she was 8 1/2 months pregnant and she brought her 3-year-old daughter (the spawn of Satan) who was the worst child I have ever encountered. I love kids, especially little girls, but this kid I couldn't stand. Soooo we are in the 7th floor hot tub when it starts snowing on our heads and she starts having mild contractions. Never mind that no American doctor would let a woman that pregnant fly in the first place, she really shouldn't have been in a hot tub at all, much less in the snow.

All my other friend and I could think of was her having the baby there in Va. Beach, and us being stuck with the brat. Va. Beach is three hours away from where we live. We go back to the room and turn on the TV to check the weather and see that the storm is really, really bad in Ontario. We start calling the Norfolk airport to see if we could get her a flight to Richmond and then on to Toronto. We convinced her she needed to go home right then and we got her on the plane and on her way.

She gets to Toronto and her husband couldn't pick her up because of the blizzard, so she boards a bus heading home. The bus gets stuck in Mississauga and she is in full labour. She ends up having the baby in Mississauga and her husband couldn't get there until the next night. I was told that the hospital was not pleased with the behavior of the 3-year-old brat, who wasn't at all pleased to have that baby getting all the attention from mom. They kicked her out of the hospital because she wouldn't control the kid and they had to go to a hotel for the first three days of the baby's life.

A couple of years later, I had moved to Key West, Florida, and she called and wanted to visit to get away from both kids! I said fine, as long as it is just you. I didn't think she would ever go home!

We are supposed to get between 13cm and 15cm (5 to 6 inches) of snow, but a lot of ice too.

          Sunny!

              Hey girls..
I am here. I went to the comedy show that I won tickets for. He (Michael Winslow)was awesome. I didn't think he'd be that great. I am even thinking about seeing him again. I did very well with the food. I ate a big meal before I got there...but I did have a few rum and diet cokes. I was actually pleased with my myself. My friend ordered....french fries and hot wings W/breading. They smelled so good, but not worth it.

Sunny, interesting story about the kid. She sounds like she is something else. Unrully kids...annoy me.LOL Enjoy your family dinner.

Cat....at the rate your going, you will see 140 in no time.

              Sherri/Marty/Sweets...hey hey hey

Have a good night. I am exhausted.

Ok Sunny, I know this is not "really" funny but I'm over LOL!! All I have to do is give Tashiana the "look" and she straightens up. I so hate it when the parent appears to be oblivious to their child's behavior. Ugh!! Speaking of...my aunt had the nerve to say that her son would have to come to my house for a few days next week (because she has to work). I was like, "no way, no how!". The last time he was here he broke a metal chair (bent the front legs in half); destroyed my daughter's bedroom; used the bathroom in my roll-away bed (thank goodness for the mat I put on it before he laid on it - which had to be thrown away); and I had to keep reminding him to WASH HIS HANDS when he used the bathroom. This is the 2nd time I let him stay. The first time he kept trying to sit on Tashiana's Dora couch (a little couch and he was close to 170 pounds at 9-years-old). I told him no. Well, I end up getting up at 4:30 am to go to the bathroom. There he is sitting booty, butt-naked on her Dora couch watching television. I screamed at him like a crazy person. I had to dismantle the couch and wash it several times (I'm so germaphobic) and could barely get it back together. Just a few months ago he came and stayed with his adult brother and his wife and broke an antique bed ($1000) and his Mom tried to hide it. Hot mess!! She never offered to pay for it. NOPE!! He'll never stay with me again. I work too hard for what I have.

Hey all! How is everyone this evening? I was going to post earlier but got swamped at work. Then this evening after eating, I fell asleep on the couch and could barely get up. I'm so tired.

This evening I had meatloaf, green beans, and fried green tomatoes (dipped in egg and heavy cream, seasoned, and breaded with chopped up pork skins). Delish! Below is a picture of the fried chicken I had the night before (dipped in egg and heavy cream, seasoned, and breaded with chopped up pork skins) and some fresh mustard greens. I didn't take a pic of the tomatoes (was so tired I couldn't think straight).

I'm going to finish running through these messages and go to bed. TGIF!!!

Hey Cat....sounds like some of my people. Can't take em no where. I remember when I was a kids my mom would give us the look and that was it. I do the same thing to my son. LOL
My grandmother would always tell us "act like you been somewhere" meaning be polite, act like you have some sense and most importantly, don't embarrass us. Kids are not taught manners and politeness these days, HMMMM, what a shame!

Sweets...yes, just get back on that horse and continue riding. It happens, we're only human. It's hard to get back on track sometimes. I hope it's not to difficult for you tomorrow. Good Luck!!

Cat, Marty, Sherri, Sunny...you all must have hot dates tonight. Where r u?

I took my son to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. Ithought it was a fair movie..I wasn't blown away. He enjoyed it very much. We went to the 5:45 show and was late, it was sold out, and the 6:40 show was sold out. We went back at 6:30 and bought tickets for the 7:45 show. The line was forming so we waited (was about 6th in line) this show was also packed. What a night. He's been talking about seeing this movie since he first saw the previews. So it was no turning back once we were there.

Chat with you all in the am.

Hey Ladies, here is my cheesecake I made tonight. This is the best its come out. Look how thick it is.

Sherri, how'd you like the jello mold. I made it with strawberry and cherry..but it just didn't taste the same as making it with lemon. It truly tastes like Cheesecake.

I used 1 full bar and 2oz of cream cheese + a table spoon of splenda. Heat creamcheese until it is very soft.
1 large box of lemon jello
used 2 cups of boiling water stir in jello, then stir in 1 cup cold water. I let it cool off.
Mix in cream cheese, you need a mixer at low speed for only about 10 seconds. Pour in dish and put in refrigerator.
