Was anyone else afraid to move on... and do you find you are still losing even though you started adding other food back in???

    thanks!!
Hey Sweets, I skipped the dairy rung....allergies. Too many dairy products and it's over. I think that's what caused me to get sick last week (heavy cream in the eggs). I can eat cheese but only in moderation. Therefore, I had no desire to do myself in trying to eat food that makes me sick. I love the nuts. But I do measure my portion (1 oz.) out for the day and don't eat more than that. Otherwise, I'd go overboard.

Was I scared to go to OWL? Yep, but it's the best thing I could have done. Once I removed my stall factor (flax) it's been nothing but consistent results ever since. I'm doing better on OWL than I did on Induction. Plus, I need variety so that I don't quit. This is a WOL so I've got to make it work for me.

Just take it one day at a time...to see how nuts affect you. Some people stall but Sherri and I've had success with eating them. Best of luck and let us know how it goes!!

P.S. I've also added lentils to my vegetable soup and haven't seen a stall so I'm ecstatic about that!!

Hey Sherri, Marty, and Kass - I hope my buds are having a great day!!! Kass, I saw your progress pics and you look awesome!! How do you feel?

Marty, did you get your tree up? I still haven't but the lights are up on the outside of my house (thanks to my little brother - who is taller than me).

Sherri, thanks for stopping by my journal that I barely have time to write in. It's hard trying to post everywhere but I try.

Have a great carb-less day everyone!!

I love coming here! There's such a positive buzz here! I'm doing alright. I've been feeling a bit emotional. It's normal for me though for this time of year. I've been staying on track with my eating though. So I'm happy about that. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow and see where I'm at. I'll take anything, as long as it's a loss. Hehe! Looks like we have some birthdays coming up to celebrate next month, very cool! Congratulations on all your losses ladies. I'm very proud of each and every one of you. Cat is right Sweets, go easy on the nuts. Make sure you portion and re -bag them. One serving a day! There easy to over indulge. They're so healthy for you though. I stick pretty close to the nut rung myself. Come berry season this spring I'll be eating strawberries again. I don't like them frozen. I don't drink alcohol, so I skip that rung. I lose just fine at the nut rung. I can understand you being hesitant though Sweets, that's good. Just go nice and slow to allow yourself to recognize any changes with you when it come to food choices . You're doing great! Wishing all of you a fantastic day! Talk to you all later.

Wow! You are only 9 pounds away form Onederland as well! That should encourage you to ring in the New Year right! You and Cat are neck in neck in this Kentucky Derby race!

I was afraid to come off induction, but I lost even more on OWL. I have had to skip some rungs, but I am now able to eat plenty of foods and I am happy with this WOE. I can't have peanut butter in the house--I can't stop until I see the bottom of the jar. I can eat nuts in recipes, but if I start eating them out of hand, I have no control. I love fruit, but I stop losing as soon as I eat it, so I only have fruit every once in a while. I love veggies, so as long as I can have plenty of them, I'm good.

I have a lot of medical problems that prevent me from exercising, but I am going to start back gently this week. I was losing well until I had to stop all exercise last February. I am going to make goal some way some how--and soon!

            Sunny!

              Hey Chickies,

Hope everyone had a wonderful day. I am happy......I only have 3 more classes left. WOOOHOOO!!

Thanks Cat about the pics. You were my inspiration. I took the pic and then thought...wow, I can see a difference.

Sweets...I will be venturing into the the latter rungs also. I am a little nervous also. I was so successful on extended the last time, that I am afraid to move. Good job moving forward.

Sunny...how's the XMAS shopping going, are you all done?

Sherri/Marty...hope you are both having a wonderful day!!

                Good Morning Ladies!!!

The scale may not be cooperating the way I want.. BUT this WOE is working... this morning I was in the kitchen all ready for work and my DH kept calling me "skinny"!! I know I am FAR from skinny but he took the time to compliment me and said he was proud of me and that I was doing really well!!!! He thinks our scale is broken and that I must have lost more than 13lbs!! I explained I may have lost more in inches but haven't gotten a tape measure as I lost my old one!!

KASS-- we will move up the rungs together and keep each other in check!!! Everyone keeps saying how well they have done by moving forward.. it's our turn to do well !!!

I hope you all have a great day!!

                Take care of you..........

I think so. I'm going to spread everything out in a while to see if the presents look equal for my two little guys. I had to laugh when I finally purchased the Disney Pixar Cactus McQueen car. No way to keep secret what is inside the package! Every time you move the thing it starts going VROOOM! and says "The checkered flag is mine!" It even did that if someone bumped my shopping cart!

I learned a lesson: If you find something early in the shopping season, buy it and don't wait to see if you find something you like better or cheaper somewhere else. Every thing I did that with was no longer available at Wal-Mart when I went back to buy it. Bummer!

I did find a lot of good stuff for their stockings. I just bought what I would have put in the stockings of my kids and grandson.

I remember someone asking, but I never answered: I don't get to see these boys open the presents. They and their family are Social Service clients and all we get to know is first name, age, size and what they have on their list. These presents will appear to the children to have come from "Santa" or their family. We have to have everything at the church next Sunday, so it can be delivered to the families by Christmas Eve. Our church also provides a huge box of food to each family. We have 100 families assigned to our church. Next year, I want to have a little girl on my list. They have such cute stuff for girls!

Wow! That's the beauty of Atkins--you lose so much from your middle and so many more inches all over than from any other 'diet.' We lose inches when we don't even lose pounds! How great is that? Almost every pound we lose is fat and not muscle mass.

Are you getting rid of your too big clothes as soon as you ungrow them? I am getting rid of all mine, since I can't afford to buy new fat clothes if I gain any weight back.

Hey everybody...about to hit the hay in a minute but wanted to say goodnight first.

Sunny, nope I still have these clothes. They are so baggy (especially in the rear...even though I have a J-Lo booty). It's not a pretty sight. I'm at an awkward in-between phase where these are too big but the pants I have saved are still a little snug. Therefore, I choose to wear loose (don't like to be uncomfortable).

Marty, girl I will love if you come looking for me (and then I can meet you). LOL!! I can see you trying to paint with one hand and hold up your pants with the other hand. I'll be so happy to reach One-derland!!! I am finally learning to love myself. It's been a long time coming!!

Sweets, thank you!! Yes, it is better than anything ever tasted!! Whoever wrote "nothing tastes better than being thin feels" was so right!!

Sherri, are you still feeling emotional? I hope it's not a bad-feeling emotional. Let us know if you're ok.

Kass, you're so sweet (me an inspiration?). You looked great girl in your pictures? Have you been strutting your stuff like Sherri?

I just love you all!! Sweet dreams!!

It would be nice to see the little guys faces when they open their presents. Just know that they are blessed to have someone as thoughtful as you.

They are to see Michael Winslow..yeah didn't know who he was either, until I went on the site. He is the cop from Police Academy....the one that does all of the sound effects. We'll see how good he is.
