I have been trying to figure out a way (time travel, maybe) to get the two coasts closer together! I have so many friends on Vancouver Island B.C. and mainland B.C., that I never get to see them often enough. My best friend on VI is diabetic and I spend a fortune in postage shipping him low carb, sugar free goodies and things he can't get in Canada.

I would love to have each of you as neighbors or maybe win the lottery and buy a Learjet! Problem is, I never buy tickets! That's the only problem with the Internet--I make so many friends, but they are all so far away!

      Sunny!

I play the lottery! If I win the big one Sunny, you can be sure that I'll be hosting an Atkins Party and you're all welcome! I just wanted to post here before I eat my evening meal. I'm having Atkins meatloaf and steamed brocolli. Green salad w/ ranch. I'm about turkeyed out. I've stayed on track all day and am feeling pretty good. My DH and DD came home from town a while ago and bought Christmas decorations for outside. So we had fun putting them up. I've got big red bows on my front entance gate w/ big jingle balls on them. Really pretty! Wishing all of you a good evening.

Good evening. I've had a stressful day but stayed legal. I've not eaten much but my stats came out correctly. I had a turkey and bacon wrap, Wendy's cheeseburger sans the bun, pumpkin bake, and some pork rinds. I know there's no veggies in this (except the lettuce and tomato on the sandwich). I'm trying to overcome boredom. I don't want to eat anything because it's not what I want.....cake!!!! Somebody help me!

You gotta take pictures and post them for us to see! I wanna see, I tell ya! I am getting the Christmas spirit for the first time since my daughter died three years ago. She loved Christmas so much and I'm not going to let the sadness keep me from enjoying it this year.

The thing I learned from making the big, but legal, Thanksgiving meal, is that I'm no longer a slave to food, no matter how tasty. I had a small plate with turkey, stuffing, faux cheese potatoes and green beans, yesterday. Today, the only thing I had was some of the turkey on a sandwich with swiss, deli ham, tomato and mayo--sort of a club sandwich. I am using up my very last garden grown tomato before it goes bad. In the old days, I would still be stuffing my face with all those carbs. For dinner, I had a grilled hamburger with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. I also grilled a whole zucchini, also next to last from the garden. It was a toasty 35 degrees outside when I was grilling. The neighbors think I'm nuts!

I gotta get busy--lots to do before bedtime!

            Sunny!

                    Hey Ladies,

Wow Cat, we are so much alike. I have most of my son's shopping done. I still need to get a hot wheels set and then a couple of other things. He also wants a drinking helmet.

Look Ma, no hands! The most practical head gear around. You've seen it on heads at sporting events, festivals and parades, and now you too can own one! Two side holsters will hold soda and the vinyl piping will make sure any refreshing liquid will reach its final destination: your mouth. One size fits most.

This boy is a mess. He saw it advertised with milk and soda in the cups, he tried to win it but didn't. So I just ordered this for him. LOL He will get a real kick out of it. I may even try it.

Sherri, I should have my decorations up by the end of this week.

                    Sunny/Marty...any decorations up yet?

Everyone have a wonderful and blessed day!!

Have I got decorations up???? Surely you jest! My daughter is no longer her to start bugging me about it the day after Thanksgiving. I AM thinking about starting my shopping before Christmas Eve this year. After church, I almost made myself go in a store to start looking for my "adopted" kids gifts. I talked myself out of it until Kass tells me what little boys want. I went back and got another slip for Damian's older brother, so now I'm buying for a 4-year-old and a 7-year old. That will make it easier to make sure one kid in the family doesn't get less than another. I've already ordered Damian's Shrek the Third DVD from Amazon, but I want to get stuff that he/they didn't ask for. The older boy, Tyshawn, has asked for stuff Spiderman III related, so I will get what he asked for and then some more stuff. It's been so long since I've bought for little kids, I don't even know what they have to offer. Damian also wants monster trucks. I don't watch TV, so I don't even know what most of this stuff is. How much is that drinking helmet?? Would my little guys like it???

My grandson is 13, but he always wanted computer stuff or tools or books. By the time he was three, he could load software onto the computer and could fix whatever his mom messed up. He and I are the computer geeks in the family. Now, since his mom died, his dad has him playing every sport known to man, including golf, and I still just get him the latest tech gadget and he's happy. I can almost always order his stuff online.

Any help would be appreciated from you people that actually shop and watch TV ads!

                      Sunny!

Yes, Kassoria, we are a lot alike. That helmet looks cool...might buy one to wear at work so I can drink my water while typing. LOL!! Let me know how he likes it. Tashiana wouldn't wear it....not girly enough.

Hey Sunny! I would help you but I have no clue what little boys want. Now, if you ask me about little girly girls like the one I have...I can help.

I bought some Skippy natural peanut butter today. I had a teaspoon and it was divine!!

Hey Sherri & Marty...hope you all had a great day!!

I went through all the names searching for a girl, but there weren't any. Our Sunday School class was assigned two families, including the adults. No girl children, just moms and grandmothers. I think Christmas belongs to the kids, so I left the adults to the other class members. I almost never get to buy for little girls. Most of my many, many nieces and nephews are, well, nephews. I do have one little great-niece, age 5, but her grandparents buy her so much stuff, there's nothing left to buy her. My family hasn't done too well producing female children. My oldest sister in Tennessee had 12 grandsons before finally getting the first granddaughter last February--that little one is spoiled rotten already!

Are you feeling better yet? You had quite a rough stretch there for a few days. I guess it's back to work tomorrow for you.

I've been lazy today--just went to church. I have to go to the Food Pantry tomorrow to get started on organizing a benefit concert to raise money. Our food banks are really suffering this year. We have a Hershey's Chocolate plant, a Little Debbie's snack cake plant, a potato chip factory and sometimes all we have to give those poor people is the junk food those places donate for the tax break they get. It breaks my heart to send a family with a lot of kids out the door with a grocery cart full of Debbie Cakes and candy.

Gotta go to bed early tonight! See you gals later!

                          Sunny!

Sunny four years old boys love cars and trucks. Hot wheels last for ever. My son still has hotwheels from when he was four (he collects them now). The CARS movie is also very poular with young boys...so any of those characers. My younger cousins get a kick out of those cars that play music and bounce up and down. Saw those at walmart.

Sunny, I do feel better. Praise God. I don't ever want to feel like that again. Buying for little people is fun. The joy of watching them open gifts is priceless. I, too, say Christmas is for the kids. I tell my family not to buy me anything but if they want to buy for Tashiana then it's fine. I laughed when I read the girl situation in your family. Everyone kept having boys in my family until my baby girl and to top it off she was born on my grandmother's birthday (she was due on the 10th, I was induced on the 15th, and she was born on the 16th). She has definitely been spoiled by everyone...my grandparents (when they were alive); my Mom (of course); my brother; my aunts and uncles. She has definitely got the title of Princess.

Hey Kassoria, how are you today? Our computer went down for almost an hour. I was working good too. Now I have to get back in to work mode. Blah!!

Ok Sherri and Marty, I'm sending the posse out to find you. ( ).

I just ate some vegetable soup (with ground beef). I'm stuffed. I'll speak with you all later.
