But, you don't look old! I was trying to decide if you were in the picture before reading the caption, but you look as young as your kids! Awesome!

This is what I pledged for my personal challenge. I'm breaking mine up into one-month periods, so I can increase or add to my exercise program as I get stronger. Most just pledged minutes, so if we can't do a certain exercise, we can do something else to take it's place. Most of us have some physical limitations, but we are not giving up. We can find something we can do.

    Kentucky Derby Personal Exercise Challenge

    January 1, 2008 to April 1, 2008

    I pledge and commit to:
    · Exercise 250 minutes per week
    · Drink 128 ounces of pure water per day
    · Recommit to the ADBB President’s Exercise Challenge
    · Enter the 20/24 exercise challenge in January 2008
    · Stay cheat-free for the duration of the challenge

    Signed: Sunny!

So I noticed! Get back out here and post! I'm old enough to be your mother, so I can tell you what to do!

      Missed you, Girl!

They promised snow again today and they were "right'--I actually saw at least four flakes when I went to the mail box. Around here, we only get a bunch of snow when they don't call for any at all.

Well, Derby Girls, I got all my exercise in for the week! I did 260 minutes--not bad for a week with a really bad RSD flare and a stellate ganglion nerve block. I had a terrible time getting started today, but once I did, I felt much better! How come I keep forgetting that from one week to the next?? I didn't even start until 5:00 p.m. and didn't stop until 6:20. I did my lifting with 5 pound weights today and moved the tension from "6" to "8" on the recumbent stepper. I almost couldn't push the steps to begin with, but then I was able to pump pretty hard. It's too cold to walk outside, so I will start Walk Away the Pounds again tomorrow! Promise!

Now, if I could just get myself to put my house back together that I tore apart over a week ago. I know I can't live in chaos, but after I stop a project, I have a terrible time getting going again.

Think I'll go read--rest up for tomorrow when I get the guy with the whip to come crack it to get me going!

            Sunny!

I miss a lot during the day!

You all live in such beautiful areas. I love the trees. I love the mountains. SoCal desert all around me. I do have some majestic mountains and with the snow fall on them on a crystal blue day, that is what life is all about. Just makes you say, Thank You!

Going over the posts from today I have laughed, thought about picking up some seafood for dinner tomorrow, wished that I would look that good when I have grandchildren, been amazed at what the personal challenges have accomplished and most of all been given hope that I can do this, too.

Today I did it. Today I walked through the doors of Curves and joined. My daughter and I will be doing it together. Like I mentioned the other day, I have been thinking about this for a year. Crazy!! But then again I have been lurking here since Nov '04, LOL!! I am one of those people who think back and think if only I had joined a year ago. Well not this next year. I will be saying I am so glad I joined a year ago.

Hope you all have a great night and wake up bursting with energy!

Good afternoon! Yep, I did the vanishing act. I'm sorry!! These mini funks are so hard to get through and having TOM just emphasized my moodiness (sadness) even more. I'm still not 100% but I will get there. I'm just so frustrated and not receiving the medical care I need. Doctors now days just suck so badly!! Wish me luck on finding a naturopathist. Oh, btw, I'm going to be going back to school (but still working) to get a second degree in naturopathy. I'm so excited. This way I can treat myself. LOL!!

Glad you came back, Createme! We don't know your name, yet, so I'll have to call you by your screen name. At least we know that you are from SoCal--so you are close to Kass.

I am super proud that you joined Curves! We can wish, hope, and pray, but this weight is not going to come off until we get up out of the chair and take action. Stick around: we'll help whip you into shape!
