well, sunny - I'll try to work up some courage to take a photo today - ick.

I'm in for the 3 months - I can commit to :20 minutes per day (treadmill) and aspire to :45 minutes per day (treadmill plus stability ball - once I get it working). I've got a little momentum going with the treadmill so I guess I've started.

here's my most recent photo ; nope, didn't think I'd get away with this one, lol

Okay, everybody signed up, pledged and committed except Marty, Sweets and ThinSoon/Tracey and those as yet undetermined Peeps that don't know yet just how much fun it is to be a Derby Girl! Should we go hunt them down???

I've already got in almost an hour of exercise and still have to lift weights for 30 minutes. I thought I would die from walking outside for 25 minutes and then I came straight in and did 15 minutes on the stepper without a break. I'm probably going to be really sore come morning. I had a hard time getting motivated to start and that's dumb because I know how good I feel when I finish!

Got to go wash up supper dishes. I had crab cakes tonight instead of the spiced, steamed shrimp that I usually have on NYE. They were really good. I had roasted veggies with them and they were super good.

                  Sunny!

I grew up on a big ol' farm and I shoveled my share of manure! You just can't grow good melons, pumpkins and cucumbers without manure! I live in the middle of a big farming area with lots of Amish & Mennonite farms. It's really beautiful, so a lot of city folks moved here and then tried to stop the farmers from using that stinky manure on the fields! Tried to take them to court! Didn't work. The judge in the county lives on a big ol' farm and uses manure on his fields!

My grandson would want to move in with you. When he was six, about everything he owned was John Deere or John Deere green and yellow. His Pawpaw has a lowly orange Allis-Chalmers tractor.

                      Hey Sunny,
I guess from country folk to city folk.....we seem to still use the same terms of endearment. My son calls his grandfather "Pawpaw."

Hey....Sunny, Cat, Catherine, Sweets, Sherri, Thinsoon......Hope you all have a wonderful New Year!!

I decided to cook for the new year. I am making crab (yummy), Korean Chicken from Linda's site, and my famous Lasagna, rice for the others, and veggies. I know...none of this stuff matches right? But these are all of the foods that I want to eat tomorrow.
I am marinating the chicken now.

                          Sherri,

I remember we were discussing the oil spill and the effects it had and is continuing to have on us here in the bay. Would you believe I paid $50.00 for 4 Dungeness crabs? Medium ones at that. I usually get about 7 for that price.

Anyway, I wanted crab so bad that I went ahead and splurged.

I only ever took it one time, way back at the beginning of my Atkins journey. It didn't seem to do anything for me, so I didn't waste my money on it again. Chromium picolinate does the trick for my cravings. I take 1000 mcg per day.

I finished 80 minutes of exercise today! I didn't finish lifting weights until 8:30 p.m. Those 2-pound weights felt like lifting a ton. Tomorrow, I HAVE to start early and finish before dinner.

                              Sunny!
