Good Morning Derby Girls ~ just poking my head in here to say hello. March was a nasty month and frankly, I was not fit company for man nor beast. April is looking *iffy*. Struggling but trying to stay the course. No lb. loss and just a few inches lost from my first month of circuit exercising. But I must soldier on.

Cat ~ Ray looks (and sounds!) kind and intelligent - am so happy for you
Kass - hope April is fantastic for you as you ZOOM to goal
Sunny - you sound like you're regaining your strength and health - YAY!
Sherri - Your mountain must be gorgeous by now - and the hikes sound wonderful!

Thank you Katie! Ray and I have talked so much. We both have put things on the table right up front. I think because I met him on the internet (and was very specific about my needs) is why we're on the same page. We've talked about things that most people wouldn't even think of talking about within the first 6 months of dating. BTW, are you and your honey moving soon?

Hi Betsy. I'm so glad you've joined us. You know you are so right. I'm a good person and I deserve to have a good person - not the scrubs I've allowed in my life in the past. To be honest, I'm very selective and choosy now because I won't let just anyone in to my life because it will affect my daughter. Her needs come first. I told Ray that if Tashiana did not like him then there was no hope for us. I would not be with someone she did not care for. She's so sweet. Yesterday when he got there she went up and gave him a hug. He has mentioned things we can do (when my Mom leaves and I'll no longer have a babysitter) as a family. He told me that we're a package deal (me and Tashiana) and that I shouldn't have to worry about trying to find a babysitter. Yep, he's tugging at my heartstrings.

Hey Kass!! Yes, Tashiana does like him. She's just going through a ittle bit of jealousy right now. Last night she called me when I was at the restaurant and said, "How could you be eating in that restaurant when we're at home working hard?" LOL!! She was helping my Mom fold up towels. I laughed and she got mad and told me that it wasn't funny.

Hi Glenda. Thank you so much for helping me push past the fear of dating online (even after Mr. Psychopath). If you hadn't encouraged me early on I would not have met Ray. I know he's my soulmate. I can feel it to the deepest part of my heart. I have never met a man as kind as he is. God does anwer prayer!!!!

Hi Catherine! I'm so sorry that you had a rough month. I think we must be on schedule together because TOM showed up yesterday for me. I've already beat him down enough for the both of us. I'll send up a prayer for you for your days to get better.

Only if I could cook up goodies while in bed under a pile of blankets trying to get warm! It was so cold yesterday and today that I could not get warm. Every day the vile weather forecast says tomorrow will be sunny and warm. Every day they lie. I so over did it on Saturday that I wasn't even able to go to church yesterday. That almost never happens. I am in the middle of a RSD flare and I can never get warm. I stayed in a hot shower until the hot water ran out this morning, and by the time I had dried my hair, I was cold again. It was supposed to be in the 60's today, but it never got out of the 40's. It's been so long since I saw the sun, I've forgotten what it looks like. I have two sets of fuzzy socks on, thick sweats and have been wrapped up in my Mommy's blanket all day. I've had several pots of hot tea and soup. Maybe by July the sun will shine again and I can complain about the heat. I did some exercise this morning and I'm about to lift weights. I've given up on being warm.

oh sunny....sorry it is so cold there! if i remember, you are famous for your tomatoes! i miss being able to grow them. in NC, growing veggies is brainless...here, it is awful, between the heat and the wind....i gave up. hope the sun comes out soon for you.

Quick check in. I am exhausted tonight.
I went on a 30 minute walk today. I work in a very small city with a low crime rate. Today as i was walking with my aid we saw about 7 police cars at the local shopping center. A person was shot in an attempted carjacking. This is very scary becaus our school is so close to the area where this occured. The area had crime scene tape all around it and I could see the numbers on the ground from where the shell casings had landed. Super scary. Anywho, I am ok. Talk to ya later.

Sunny, I'm so sorry for the flare-up. I am going to send sunshine your way. It was 76 here today which is strange that it wasn't warm there. Don't we usually have similar temps? Anyway....I ask God to send you plenty of sunshine, warmth, and healing.


Kass, that sounds so scary especially right after the sniper shootings in Sunny's area. I'm so glad you're okay.

I am the same way Cat, I am VERY particular about who I let do my hair so most of the time I do it myself. I have not been to a beautician in over 4 years. As far as online dating, I am not online anymore. I am waiting on God to send THE MAN He has for me. I had some bad experiences too with online dating. REALLY BAD.

That shooting sounds crazy!!! What's the matter with people!!!! I live in Ontario, Canada but I know in BC they're on the hunt for a man who might have killed his three children! I could have burst into tears reading the article! Sometimes it sucks to work at a newspaper like I do!!!

Cat - I am so glad your date went well! I was rooting for you! Tashiana sounds adorable!!!!! Ha ha ha!!! The phone call she made to you on your date was adorable!!!! She'll get over any jealousy! I went through a phase like that with my mum but got over it pretty quick when the opportunity to be a family arose! It's the best!

Sorry I didn't check in until today! Work was insano yesterday! Then I went to the hairdresser and got my hair chopped off! It was by the boobs and now it's above the shoulders! It's a lil' too short for my liking but hair grows!!!

I have to say...I've done some cheats the last couple of days...mostly because of moola but I am back on the wagon today!!!!

Thanks Katie. I'm excited to have met my soul mate. Thursday we're going out with two of my friends and their mates. One is married (married last September to the one she met on eHarmony) and the other is getting married in January (her beau plays the guitar for Montgomery Gentry). I am impressed with my baby though because last night when Ray called she got on there before me and held a nice little conversation. You've got to understand that my baby won't talk to just anybody (thank God). She's very selective.

Now, send us a pic of your new hairstyle and jump back on the wagon.

I must confess that I just had a quarter of some pasta dish but I am now done with cheating! It's so funny how it's not worth it! Pasta used to be my downfall and now i can take it or leave it. I am out of ketosis I am sure but I will do Slim in 6 tonight and then I am going to have some wings to kick start myself into atkins. I just need some real motivation!!!!!!!

Wow! That's awesome that Tashiana talked to him on the phone!! ESP if she doesn't do it with everyone! I love that Ray is so open to you and your family and wants to be a part of it!!! That's so awesome!! I am so glad that T's happy too!!!

I will try and post a pic of the new hair!!! Ha ha ha! I have the hardest time uploading photos but I will see what I can do!

Wish me luck with getting back on the Atkins horse! I am scared but nervous!!! I MUST DO IT!

Thank you! Thank you! little sis! The forecast had no sun in it today, but I went and got in bed to try to get my legs warm enough to exercise and when I came out to go to the bathroom, the sun was shining! I've even put on a short sleeve shirt and shorts! Yeah!

My sister called last night and asked if I had gotten out in the pretty weather--well, no, cause I couldn't get out from under the covers long enough. She said her daughter was driving her convertable with the top down and it was 82 degrees there in Middle Tennessee.

I'm going for a walk in the sunshine! I never know how long it will last! It's only 54 degrees, but that feels like a heat wave after the last few weeks.

Checking in this AM to say hello to the Derby Girls!!

Busy with painting DD's apartment~~she moves in on Sunday!!!
Yesterday DH & I moved in the bed & boxes of stuff. She just needs to move her clothes & she is done. Got the bedroom painted & the kitchen all prepped to start painting this afternoon.

Ate some peanuts yesterday as I found myself without a decent snack & I was wicked hungry. Could have been worse. Good lesson for me~~must put some cheesesticks in the purse when I'm out & about.
