      I have been on Atkins a few times but this is my first challenge so I hope I am doing this right.

      Here are my goals....

      I will drink 100 oz of water each day.
      I will do some form of cardio for an hour 4x a week and do some form of weight training 3x a week.

      Also, every Saturday I am helping my Grandma with some form of exercise, mostly resistance bands, and very mild cardio. Not much of a workout but hey, it's better than sitting on the couch, right?

      Last but not least I will do 100 crunches everyday!!!

      I really need to have a big drop in weight because I am going on vacation in May.

            I would like to join in but I am not allowed to exercise (and I am missing it) as I had an operation on 7 Feb and have to wait six weeks.

                  Hello,

                  Not sure about the format. But here's the plan:

                  Re: EXERCISE
                  Weight training 3x/week with trainer, cardio walk-run 5x/week. When the cardio is after weights it will be for 40 min. When the cardio is 'alone' it will be for 1 hour. I am currently doing 3 min. walk, 2 min. run - in 5 minute segments. I hope to shift that ratio to 3.5 min. run, 1.5 min. walk by the end of the challenge.

                    Good thinking peaceful journey, I'll add my weight loss goal to my siggy as well!! I will also use your weigh in dates. i agree this is a great way to get ready for spring. It's so nice to even consider the thought of not feeling terrified to wear shorts this summer!!! Good Luck everyone and let the challenge begin!!!

                      Horrible time for me to join a challenge as I am hosting a Mini Institute with LOTs of food, frolic and friends. Also will be in class about 10 hours a day. Saying that, I'm going to join anyway.
                      1 week goal
                      8 oz of water a day. (Im lucky if I drink 1/2 oz with my pill.
                      While I usually swim 3 times a week, they are closing the pool for maintenance, BUT Ill walk every lunch hour for 1/2 hour and chose the hill across the street.
                      I will lose 1 pound.
                      And my most important.... I will stay on my plan and ignore the donuts, homemade cookies and everything else folks are bringing to share.
                      (Sorry I can't add the egg, I have a MAC and it doesn't copy squat or I don't know how to copy squat.LOL)
                      Because of my horrid schedule next week, not sure I can post everyday either, but know I am thinking about you and cheering you on

                        Good Morning & Happy Friday .

                        Today is the first day of our challange. I will use Friday as my official weigh in day. My goal for the challenge will be to make it to onederland. As of today that will be 9 #.

                        I am committed to flood myself with water.... I will aim at 3 liters a day.

                        Exercise 4 days a week. I will make to the Gym today and I will walk on the tread mill for no less than 20 minutes (30 if my back feels good). I will also start back at my upper body stength training and will work on that for 15-25 minutes.

                        You can have your weigh-ins on what day you choose. I would like to see a total goal for the challenge and a weekly weigh in(so I can keep track). You can only report your loss on here 1X per week on your weigh in day.

                        You can have a weekly goal- I am not going to keep track of that- OK? You will have to.

                        I will log in later today and collect everyone's data and then place it all in one thread that I can edit/copy/paste with updates.

                            ok, I'm trying not to weigh after my last weigh in (which I think was on tuesday?), so I'm starting at 209. I'm going to copy Julie's overall challenge goal: get in the 1's! so 10 lbs.

                            I will try for 20-30 minutes of exercise, 5 days per week. if I have a particularly long session though, I'll bank that time if I need to. can we do that? it IS flu season, after all.

                            water is never a problem for me, but to give it a number, I'll say 100 oz/day. I usually drink more than that, but let's go with it for now.

                              Today is quick note for me. 2 kids leaving for the weekend - got to get them packed and drive...

                              I did 1 hour weights - arms and abs. 40 min. walk-run.
                              Day 5 of induction. So far so good.

                                Hello everyone,

                                Today was an upper body day, no cardio seeing as how I have to double up on it tomorrow. I did arms, shoulders and back. I also did 150 crunches. I managed to get in about 130 oz of water. A slow first day but I think I may have had some sort of bug. I got home from work at 2 and slept until....sheesh. Feel better now. See ya tomorrow!!!
