    That garlic butter steak sounds really good. I'm gonna try that but I'll probably use fresh minced garlic instead. I like cooking with it so much better.

      Yummay!!!! Instead of steak I ended using shrimp again! Yummy sprinkled some cheese.

      Im gonna try that spit test tomorrow. I have a feeling its gonna be postitive for candida. ugh

          I am in this phase of fat acceptance, which is weird since I am on a weight loss plan. But it's not like a "I love myself fat" kind of thing, I just have to accept that I AM fat before I'll really do something about it. So, I'm not deleting out my chubby pics off the camera anymore, not denying it... It's weird how accepting what you really look like, but not in the usual "I'm disgusted" way, can give you motivation to change the reality!

          K, I'm way too philosophical! LOL!

          I just started using Fitday, and wow. My diet today was 68% fat ! (5 Tbsp mayo did it, mostly.) BUt, my calories were pretty good. Around 1750. They're saying my basal metabolism for my weight, combined with my sedentary desk work, would burn 2,500 calories in a day. That seems like a lot to me.

          Speaking of Fitday, does anyone know what the letters NSF mean after some of the foods?

              Hi Everyone Happy Saturday. I hope you are all doing well.

              I did the spit test and it came postive of candida so I guess I need to stop the dairy for awhile. I need to get to that post and figure out the correct way of getting rid of it.

                      Just checking in guys! Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far I'm still really sick with this cold and just feeling cruddy I've been eating, but not like I should. I've been skipping meals because I have been sleeping most of the time. I'm trying to make up for it by eating a really big meal that can pick up some of the carbs that I am lacking in. Ugh.

                      I hope everyone is doing well!

                        hey guys so after my cheat day yesterday...i did go up a few lbs but oh well bygones are bygone but i really do hope i had seen this recepie posted by some awesome person in the deserts menu section...if u guys havent seen it here it is...give it a try...so simple and SO SO Goood its feels like ur cheating!!! a quick question to the inductees though or the experts...how much flax meal, splenda and heavy whipping cream are we allowed a day?

                        thanx again..

                        I got this idea combining flax meal crackers with flax meal cereal.

                        2 T flax meal
                        1 packet Spenda
                        1/8 t cinnamin (sp)
                        1 T butter
                        2 T water
                        mix dry ingredients, add butter and microwave 30 secs. Add water, stir and place on a peice of parchment paper. Spread thin with an offset spatula or a spoon. Microwave on high for 2 1/2 to 4 min. till crisp. Let cool. You can also break this up and mix with cream.

                        Don't forget to count the carbs. 1 for flax and 1 for Splenda.

                            That sounds like something yummy! But I am sooo tired of cooking food. And I feel like I'm always whining, so I don't even want to show up sometimes.

                            I am trying to keep up with my journal, and I've made some life changes... I'm keeping my kitchen clean, for one, so I am not grossed out to go in there and make food preparation a priority.

                            Instead of my nightly tea, I'm drinking hot water, and I can hardly tell the difference. I actually like it better, and it's free. I use distilled water from the water aisle, it's $1 for a gallon, and tastes sweet because there's no minerals or salts in it!! If you haven't tried distilled, and you don't like water, you should try it.

                            I'm sorry for not replying a lot and saying quickie supportive comments. For some reason, my browser doesn't want to work with the quick reply box. I have to go to the advanced, and it's just frustrating, and I don't need any more frustration. Know what I mean?? Ugh. I am having a hard time this weekend. I'm already tired of the food to the point I'd rather not eat, and that's not good.

                            Going to bed soon, just wanted to check in! I started a shopping-style ticker to remind myself how much fun shopping will be again when I reach goal. Goodnight everybody. (Oh, and I think Franklin bailed! One day? Franklin, where are you!!)

                              Happy Sunday everyone!

                              Well, my first Saturday on Induction did not go as planned. I went to a birthday party last night and did not stick to plan. I wanted to skip the party altogether, but this is a friend that I haven't seen in 4 months, and I don't want to turn into some weirdo meat-eating recluse that avoids all social activities because there might be bowl of chips there. So.... I went, and ended up eating doritos. It was the only food they had out for like 2 hours, and I know this might seem lame, but I was afraid if I didn't eat, people would make a big deal out of it. "Hey look, the fat girl must be dieting because she's not eating chips!" And there were only about 5 of us there, so it was pretty obvious. Anyway, enough excuses. Then I had a cheeseburger, with a bun, and a salad that had pasta in it. I can tell you that it was not worth it. At all. Especially when I got on the scale and gained back 4 of my 7 pounds that I had lost.

                              I am going to try to be picture perfect today so that my "official" weight tomorrow morning will still be decent for week 1.

                              Anyone else find weekends to be tougher than weekdays?

                                effie...i feel you...weekends are definately harder because atleast for me i am more "idle" and thin of food more often...thats wat hapened to me on friday night when i just gave in...but like u already know...its not worth it..not at all...i too gained back the lbs i had lost with such hard work...we just have to remember our goal and not forget it...there is no amount of rationalization that should deter us frm being the weight we wanna be...so many others have achieved wat we r trying to achieve on this board so we know we CAN we just have to keep moving on...forget about wat happened and just keep on moving...goodluck!
