I really can't believe how out there you have taken it Breakfast... My post had no intention of takeing away her glory. I am just posting the reason why. Isn't that why we are all here to begin with? For the truth?

If you read the posts, I had asked her what time she went to bed...she said 11-12...so that means 4 or 5 hours before bedtime, NOT necessarily at 7pm
I didn't say she went to bed at that time, I said thats when she started slowing down, like most people do at the end of the day.

And I did not say this is reccomended for everyone, if you scroll up you will see that Nikki said that. I said "Well, this is what works for me, everyone is different"
I am aware of what was said..when I said "you" I meant the two of you.

ou just seem really quick to post something negative without reading what was even said
Funny, That seems to be your problem not mine.

Also, My initial intention was neither negative or positive, I just stated a fact. I know they are tough to deal with sometimes, but you will get over it.

Seems like you think you know all the answers and there is always something wrong with what anyone else is doing if it's not exactly what you're doing.
I am going to have to agree, simply because I do Atkins by the book and anytime anything is done that is not by the book or has been added by someone who thinks they are going to out think everything I am going to give my opinion about it...although that has nothing to do with this thread and niether does the following

The reason you don't like me is because I am a purist, a by the book type of person. I am against the "just a few bites" or "If I cheat, it will help me stay on plan" and then there is the "Dr. atkins says to do this, but I am going to go ahead and ignore his advice" statements that are just simply ridiculous.

Well darling if you know all the answers then why are you here? If your WOE/WOL is perfect, then I don't see why you need all of us NON perfect people around for support urplequ: ....you should be able to do it on your own! That must mean the only reason you are here is to make others feel less than perfect, which is more than obvious. Don't knock us down!! Let's lift one another up and have compassion, love and understanding. You haven't been on the WOE that long to say what you will and won't do. Also, Stop picking on Clare and myself.

And I would like to repeat my stance on all of this.

In my view this got totally blown out of proportion. I was just commenting on what you said nikki. Giveing the reason behind it all. I have nothing against you in anyway nor were my responses directed that way.

OH please, I never said I was perfect, far from it actually, but I strive for perfection so I won't be held back. Stop acting so childish about all of this.

once again. I never knocked anyone down....basically you put your selves down.

And why would I be picking on you two? what problems could I possibly have? I think you need to get off your high horse....realise the world doesn't revolve around you. No matter how much you want it to.

please take a moment to remember the mission of this board is support. We are all here to learn and it is good to share, but let's do it in a positive manner.
This is a journey we each have to take, and while the basics are the same for each of us because Dr. A. laid out the foundation on which we build. However at some point in our journey we do take divergent paths because we find through the experience of listening to our bodies what works best for us. We share what we learn and if others find benefit in that great if not that is okay too.
I think some great points have been made in this thread, but it seems to be taking a downward turn, so please everyone take a deep breath and lets get back on the positive track. Thanks for your cooperation. :hug
Happy low carbing to everyone. :joy

lol my family eats dinner very late every night .. almost always after 7 but myself, i am usually up now until at least 11-12 sometimes until 2-3. lately, ill eat but ill do my exercise at night and drink a lot of water then too. I'll do about 1/2 hour of exercise and drink about 60-70 oz of water.. then relax for a little, then go to bed..

I've sort of noticed that I sometimes get better results if I stop eating early, as well, but never went out of my way to do so... I do think there's something to it,.. doesn't matter to me why it happens, as long as it helps!

I think I'm going to try this advice for a week and see if I lose more weight then I have been. Thanks for the tip, I am always interested in heaering what works for other people, because some suggestions may work for me :yes

Some of us have a more "purist" attitude to Atkins and forge ahead like horses with blinkers, and try and succeed no matter what.

For others, we have our own demons to fight, and even though we may make many mistakes along the Atkins WOE, we try our best to get there and make it part of our lives

No matter what we do or say to each other, we need to remember that the most likely way of helping ALL OF US SUCCEED is to ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT each other. Constructive criticisms (no matter the intention) can often be taken the wrong way, be disheartening/discouraging, and let us down

So please, let us try and be positive to each other - we're more likely to get better results out of one another that way :hug

                      Cheers.

I don't eat after 7 either. I come home from work, eat my dinner, then I drink water for the rest of the night. I'm never hungry, and my weight loss is steady :yes
